Am I dead? I thought. Is this the way I die? At the hands of an Ancient god, miles away from my friends. Unable to find Annabeth? This is my death.

Opening my eyes, I realized, I wasn't dead. Chaos had only grazed my shoulder, but that didn't mean I wasn't on my way to Hades. Gazing up, my eyes burned. My entire body felt cold and limp, almost like I hadn't used my body in years.

"Percy Jackson, you are by far the most defient demigod I've ever had the honor of killing." Chaos smiled. It was a psynical one, like Kronus or Gaea, it was one that held reason and content, almost like mine. "I'm sorry, I've never held back in a fight, but here today I did. I only used about twenty percent of my effort. For that I ask that you forgive me."

With a whimper of a laugh, I gazed at the god. "You-are-the-strongest-opponent. . ." I coughed. My vision started to fade as I spoke, the pain was now to great to bare. "I've ever, faced. . . thank. . .you." With a sudden smile, Riptide faded, i was now holding an ordinary pen as my spirit shimmered into nothingness.


Where do you go when you die? I used to ask as a kid. Will you just rot in the ground? I used to think that. I never really was big into religion as a kid. I mean, up until about twelve years old, I hated the idea that one supreme being set up my life just to torture me. But now I know, when you die, you go to Hades, the kingdom of the dead.

Standing in an endless line of souls, I was marked and sent into a giant court room with three giant statues located directly in front of me, to my right and left.

The statues were realistic like the ones in Greece and Rome, so I had no trouble believing these were gudges of life. Taking my post, I awaited until they all turned and made a loud creeking sound, almost like they had been stuck in that position for some odd years.

"Percy Jackson." The one to my left spoke. It held a long beard and seemed to have a deep and powerful voice almost like he had to scream everything he said. "You will now, be judged upon how well, you're life has been."

"Upon the amount of greater good you have served." Said the one at the far right.

"You saved Olympus couldless times, held in your pride and did the righteous cause, and above all have never done a bad deed without good moral." Longbeard said.

I nodded out of obligation.

"What do you think brothers?" Longbeard asked.
The three exchanged an emotionless expression as if debating on killing me on the spot. I had been here before, in face the olympians put me in the same situation when I was about fourteen years old. It's never a good feeling to determine ones life upon just a single vote.

"Elysium is best for him. He's a true mortal hero." Said the judge straight ahead of me. "The child might also learn a thing or two about himself in Elysium."

"I follow." The one at the far right agreed.
"Alright," Longbeard announced. "Percy Jackson your afterlife has been determined as Elysium, the eternal paradise."

Nodding, the statues reformed and switched back off. In a shimmer of bright life, I noticed a gate open up in the distance. Curious to the gate and where it lead, I headed towards it.

The gate was a portal to Elysium. Taking quick look at it, I took a deep breath, and passed through the gate. Once inside, I realized that Elysium was a paradise like no other. The fields were a lushous shade of green and flowers pollutied the fields.

In the distance I could see a line of people at a gate that held a boundary between Elysium and the Isles of the blessed. Taking a seat, I smiled and then slowly closed my eyes to drift into a peaceful slumber . . . for eternity.

Percy is dead. . . it's a shame our beloved hero couldn't stand a chance against his enemy.
