Camp Half-blood was a vast monument of what you'd think camp was all about. Every turn, Nathan's eyes lit up with roseraries like he had been a kid in the candy shop. He wanted to know if Talia was in the camp, but he couldn't find any trees within the major attractions of the camp. Most of the trees were further away from the central of camp. That is to say, there was greenery surrounding the attractions.
Elizabeth, gave him the run down of the camp. She gave him the footing of the history behind camp, often tossing in demigod names that were also political icons from the mortal world. Appearantly, Abraham Lincoln was a son of Athena. She also mentioned Einstien, Roosevelt and even the famous George Washington. Nathan didn't mind the history lesson, but he was more into the cabins and sleeping arrangements.
"So, what exactly is your goal in life." Nathan asked, focusing his attention at the cabins. Amazing, Elizabeth stopped. "My goal?" She smiled faintly. There it was again her infamous smile. It was hard to get this girl to lighten up, even around Aia, Nathan could tell she was holding back on her personality. It was like she had a split personality, at times serious and intellectual and at others carefree and friendly. Nathan liked the former better than the latter.
"What do you want to do with your life in the future?" Nathan explained. "Hopes, dreams, hobbies. That kind of thing."
"I want to be an architect. Build scale models of national and historical monuments. If I don't get that, I guess I could be a scientist like my father. I'm good with Chemistry and Physics. I could also enlist in the navy. To tell you the truth I'm more into the architecture, being an architect is pretty much most of the children of Athena's dreams."
Nodding, I smiled. "I've never met a person who has big dreams." He said gazing at the furthest cabin in deep thought. "It's refreshing, most of the people I've met have no ambitions, they rarely know what to say when I ask them a question like that."
Elizabeth nodded a bit apprehensive. "Do you have any?" She asked. "Ambitions that is."
Nathan gazed at her with intense eyes. "I want to help provide for others. I want to help people when they need it the most. But so far, I'm not qualified to do so."
"And your dreams?" She asked.
"I wanted to be an artist, musical and theoretical of course. But now, I want to help people. I never understood it, but it might have something to do, with the fact that, I've always been alone."
Gazing at her, Nathan could read the question in her eyes. He knew she wanted to ask him, if he ever had a friend. She shook his head dejectedly. "Not once, I've always been alone, just me and my mother." Walking off, he turned his head. "Come on, don't we have someone to meet before sunset," Walking off he sighed, and closed his eyes ready to meet the mystery man.
The big house was a duplex now. It had changed in size and composition. Gazing at the proach, he smiled, noticing a man sporting an old windbreaker and classic 1970's clothes. Strolling into the house, the man nodded.
Nathan explained everything in a board room, which held a round table with almost thirty chairs facing in the direction of the back wall. He told him about his reaccuring dream, the demonic shade and the fact that he couldn't feel normal about this all yet.
The man nodded to have Elizabeth leave us alone. Lurching forward, he smiled. His brown eyes were degragmented by the sunlight drapping through the curtains. "I see, well, I'm Chiron. The trainer of heroes and director of this camp. As you are aware of, you're not just human, your also half god. A demigod." He paused. "I can't place your godly parent yet, but you seem important and powerful, I hope you'll prove that to not just me but all the others here at camp. As for now, you'll be placed with the children of Hermes. Do me proud as you would your own mother."
