I entered the kitchen of my house, eating cereal like my daily routine. Even my dad fell into a routine and kept up on everything, which is surprising since that was what my mom did.
"I miss mom." I felt myself say before I could stop myself. just then my dad came in, his dark hair messy and his green eyes sleepy.
"Me too, Claire, me too." He sighed and ate with me. I twirled my curly blond hair and looked at my dad. I looked just like mom did when she was fifteen, and I think it hurt my dad.

We walked through the park and I sat on a bench as y dad got ice cream for us. A guy say next to me and looked me up and down, then winked. I scooted over, leaving space between us. He moved closer. Just as he did my dad kicked him in the face. No warning, nothing. He sat down like nothing happened and ate his ice cream.
"Dad." I broke our silence.
"Yuhehm?" He said, mouth full.
"I can take care of myself." I told him, eating some cookie dough ice cream. He nodded.
"I know." He swallowed.
"Next jerk, I get to beat his to a pulp." I held my hand out.
"Deal." My dad said, shaking my hand.
"Percy!" Some random girl walked up to my dad. He looked super confused.
"Uh, do I, who?" He asked. Te woman simply smiled and giggled, and planted herself on his lap.
"Can I?" I asked my dad. He gave me a warning look.
"Please?" I whined.
"Percy, let her in off to her friends. We need I talk, babe." My dad looked so alarmed.
"Fine." He said. I threw my empty cone in the teach and yanked the girl off my dad.
"Hey!" She protested.
"don't call my dad ''babe'. Ever." I growled.
"Jeez." She rolled her eyes. I gave a roundhouse kick to her ribs. She crumpled to the ground. He struggled back up and I pinched her in the face.

"You are just like her." My dad looked at me dreamily.
"Just like mom." I repeated and we left the park.
