CHAPTER III

"My, my, that was quite the battle, my children. It's not everyday that I see my favorite son fight", Gaia said. It was true that I didn't fight a lot. I believed in settling problems with words, not violence. What I was thinking at that time in my life, I do not know. I bowed as soon as she was finished speaking. All my siblings did the same. We were terrified of Gaia. Her power was unlimited, and she could destroy all of us with the flick of her hand. The only one who didn't bow was Hyperion, who was struggling to get up. His nose was bent at an odd angle. His helmet was dented. Gaia seemed to not notice. She looked me up and down, with a look of satisfaction."You did well my son. There is not even scratch on you! This has proved that you are the only one fit to do what I need done, Kronos. Will you accept?'', She asked. I nodded, too afraid to deny."Excellent!'', she said,''Follow me, my son. I have big plans for you.". I followed, not knowing how drastically that decision would change my life.
