The Rise Of The Titans Series: Kronos's Revenge (Book 1)

"Hazel!" Frank shouted, tears running down his face. "Wake up!" Hazel lay still as a rock. Her shoulder had a horrible wound and blood drenched her shirt.

Frank glared at his friends, "What happened?"

"Hazel was bit by a Hydra," Echo explained quietly, staring in concern at the fallen demigod. It didn't matter if Frank was rude, all that mattered right now was Hazel. The demigods stared helplessly as Percy tried to heal her with water.

"Too much poison," Percy gasped, "I can't heal it, sorry."

"No!" Frank shouted through clenched teeth.

"I'm sorry, Frank Zhang," said a strong, gravelly voice behind him. A pale man wearing a roman purple toga and a staff with a skull strode towards them.

"Pluto, Hazel's father," Frank snarled, "and you decide to take her away?"

Pluto, the Roman god of dead smiled sadly. His eyes shone sympathetically. "I'm sorry Frank Zhang." He repeated. "I cannot change the law of death, even if I'm the lord of dead, It was Hazel's time to die, Frank." He nodded to Frank. "You must release her soul, Frank. She will reach Elysium," He told him simply.

Frank swallowed his grief and anger. "I-I release her soul so she can reach the underworld." He stammered.

Pluto smiled. "Thank you, Frank Zhang." Hazel disappeared, melting into the floor and a diamond popped out of the ground.

"Now, I see, Hades," Pluto said. Frank didn't understand what he meant. Pluto's form flickered and suddenly, he was a tall, pale, guy wearing a soul tuxedo. Hades looked at Percy. "Thank you, Pluto, and now, I want my symbol of power."

Percy walked forward slowly and shoved the handle at the god. "You were being a coward, Lord Hades, you could've just busted som-"

Hades cleared his throat before Percy finished. "Thank you for the sword, Perseus Jackson. I will teleport you back to your foolish demigod camp, your next quest will come early, you will save the lightning boy."

He vanished.

Piper and Percy exchanged looks. The lightning boy...Jason?
