Delia

Delia took the coin out of her pocket, fingering it gingerly. She'd never made an Iris Message before and although Leo had shown her how she was still anxious to see if it would work.

They had stopped for the night on the side of the hill by a stream. Kat was tending to dinner and Nico was setting up their tents. They had told Delia to go and make the IM by the stream since she was only getting in the way. How was she supposed to know how to set up a tent or cook food from cans? She slept under the stars or cooked proper greek food.

She set up a prism to make a rainbow in the mist from the rapids and threw in her coin. It disappeared.

"Oh Iris, godess of the rainbow, accept my offering. Leo Valdez, Camp Half Blood."

An image shimmered in the mist. Leo was in his room (The Hephaestus kids get their own rooms, unfair right?) Tinkering on a project.

"Leo!" She said. A little surprised that it worked.

"Delia?" He turned from his project, a huge grin on his face. "How's the quest going?"

"Well we just found out that Olympus is closed so we have to take the long route- a two day walk!" She groaned.

"I thought Zeus opened it again?" He looked confused.

"Not as far as I can tell." She replied.

He didn't look to pleased about that.

"I miss you." She said.

"I miss you too." He replied, smiling.

A shout came from behind him "Lights out Leo!!!!"

"Just a sec!" He yelled back. "I've got to get to sleep now or my siblings will kill me for keeping them awake."

"It's true!"

"We will!" Shouts of the like came from around him.

"Goodnight then Leo" Delia giggled.

Leo waved his hand through the mist and Lia went back to the others before they could kill each other.
