An invalid and a looney twin

They had to stop often on their way through the tunnel. Nico was light for a guy but they to take turns carrying his supplies as well as their own.
They only managed to reach the end of the tunnel the next morning. But how long was it really? Kat thought to herself, remembering Chirons warning about time. They couldn't even send an iris message to Leo to find out the date because of the lack of sunlight in the dark tunnel.
They reachel the light at the end of the tunnel and Kat almost dropped Nico. She was told the forest was giant but she was in awe at the size of the trees. The trees were the same deep green as her eyes and the tree tops were alive with bird life. Kat was only the size of the tree roots that protruded through the rich soil.
"Where are we supposed to go?" Kat asked. The forest was huge!
"Easy, we just follow the gold light?" Delia said. Pointing at a random patch of forest.
"What light?" Kat knew her sister was crazy but hallucinating?
"I take it you can't see it?" Delia asked.
Kat shrugged. Her sister had lost it. "Oh well I guess I'm leading." Delia took off into the forest, leaving Kat to catch up to grab the invalid and follow her looney twin.
