It's in my DNA

The arrow in the tree

Delia

They kept walking for two more days. Eight. She told herself. They had been in the forest for sixteen actual days in total now.

On their fourth time - lapsed day in the forest. The glitter trail began to glow steadily brighter. They were nearing the clearing from her dreams.

"Shouldn't we stop for the night? It's getting late." Kat asked her.

"We can't stop now. We're too close. And I don't know if Nico has another night left." Delia replied.

Nico wasn't pale, he was white as a sheet. Nearly transparent. Delia could see his veins through his skin. They were an ugly green. His breathing came in short, ragged gasps. He hadn't regained conciousness at all.

Kat paled at the thought that he might not be there in the morning and they kept going forward.

The trail grew steadily brighter until Delia saw a golden arrow sticking out of a tree. The one that her father had shot in her dream.

They had reached the clearing at last.

@Blackjack Tempest
Haha you're brilliant! :) Thanks for the support

Don't apologize for having short chapters, sometimes it annoys me when people have really long chapters.
