7 Daughters of Prophecy

"You cannot just quit!" Lexis shouted. Lexis was a Hunter of Artemis, just like me. But I wasn't going to be for long. "And I cannot stay! Lexis, you know I yearn for more in my life." I sighed. "You have everything you could want here! What could you possibly gain by going back to camp? We are like your sisters!" Lexis cried. I grasped her shoulders, "And that will make me miss you even more." Her green eyes became wet. "Don't ever forget us. Be safe and strong. I will miss you, sister." Was all she said. Lexis gave me one last squeeze, and left.

"I request permission to speak to Thalia Grace, Lieutenant of the Hunters." I said to the guards outside of Thalia's tent. "Enter." Came her voice. I stepped into the silvery tent. "I hear you have second thoughts about your vow." Thalia said with regret. I nodded solemnly, "Tis true, I'm afraid." "Could I possibly persuade you to stay with us?" Thalia offered.

"I'm afraid not. I think I'm ready for something else. Something more." I confessed. "Very well, then. We will part with sorrow." Thalia said, standing up. She walked over to me and gave me... a hug! Wow, she'd never done that before. "May I keep my bow, for a reminder?" I asked. Thalia let go if me and stood back. "If you use it wisely and carefully. I'll let you keep it, just this once. You are one of my most trusted companions. You will always be in our hearts." Thalia said, one tear escaping her eye.

I smiled and turned to leave. "Oh, and say hello to Annabeth for me. And tell Chiron we'll be at the next Capture the Flag. Tell them that they have been warned..." Thalia joked. "Of course, Lieutenant." I laughed. We both left the tent. I said goodbye to all the Hunters with teary eyes. Finally, it was time for me to leave.

With all my things packed, bow in hand, I set off. Time to find Camp Half-Blood.
