The Librarian

Coma

I couldn’t move, I couldn’t breathe. I was completely frozen in my form. I saw space...

I tried to choke out words, but I couldn’t make my mouth move. I began to panic, banging on the doors of my mind, trying desperately to open them, to make something move. Blackness, oblivion....

I didn’t even care if I felt pain; at least I could feel SOMETHING....

I saw Nico standing over me this time.

“I wish Calypso could have fixed this.” Nico murmured, his dark eyes sad. “I really liked Kimmi.”

“No!” I screamed mentally. “I’m still here!”

“She tried, Nico.” Piper comforted, but Nico shrugged her off and stormed out the door. I felt myself being lifted up, and carried, and I could see tanned hands around my waist. It must be Leo, then.

“I’m fine!” I tried so hard to make my mouth move, but it WOULDN’T. Nothing was responding. Nothing. My vision began fading in and out as I could hear my name being called over and over again, ripping me out of my body.

“Kimmi!” It yelled, shaking my shoulder. I bolted up, falling off the couch I had apparently been lying on.

“I’m okay.” I waved my hands in front of my face. “I’m okay!!!”

“Of course you’re okay.” A sweet voice said. “My magic is the best.”

I glanced up towards the location, to see a face I recognized. “Thank you so much, Calypso!” I said, tackling her in a hug.

She patted my back awkwardly. “You’re welcome.”

Leo bent over and kissed her on the cheek. “That’s my girl.” She giggled, and pulled me up.

“You’re alive.” A shadow shifted in the corner of the room; Nico emerging from the darkness.
I nodded. “I was terrified that I wasn’t.”

“You were in a coma, though.” Piper interjected from her position on the floor. “I think you were able to see and sort of hear, but you weren’t responding to our questions or moving at all, so that was somewhat scary.”

“So that wasn’t a dream.” I said flatly.

“Nope.” Nico wrapped an arm around my waist. “But, you’re okay now, so we can move on.”

“Um, no.” I said, looking up at him. “My brother is still an issue.”

Notes

So, I wrote this uber long chapter, but I decided to break it up a little (into three) SOOOO I can update a little more frequently.
