The Librarian
Night
Needless to say, I had no idea where I was going, but there was no way I was turning back and asking for help from Leo and Cally. Not only would that be damaging to my pride...but...you know.
Though the day was gone and the streets were lit only by man made light, I still made no observation of the danger I was potentially walking into. I shoved past people on the sidewalks angrily, hearing muffled protests and angry growls every time I would elbow to get farther away from Leo's apartment. A hand wrapped around my wrist and I was jerked back none too gently.
"Just what do you think you're doing?"
I ripped my wrist away, glaring at the Hispanic. "Let me go, Leo!"
He folded his arms, glaring back at me. "Uh, no."
"You followed me with intent to stop me, right?" I accused, waving a finger in his face when Calypso ran up next to him, gasping for air.
"No." She took a deep breath. "We came to help."
I began walking away. "Yeah right."
Calypso ran in front of me. "We have a plan to get Nico back, I swear."
I stopped and spun in my heel. "Do you mean it?"
She nodded, pulling Leo beside her. "Come back with us, please, and we can talk."
