The Two That Went Missing

Julia:

Sarah winked at me and quickly left with Leo, Nico leaving us behind, just leaving Clovis and I,
“So how did you sleep?” he asked, his eyes half open,
“I don't sleep much, but I slept good, for when I was” I said, he opened his mouth in shock,
“You don't sleep much!? how is that even possible!!!” he said flabbergasted, I laughed,
“I don't know, I guess I’m not good at it!” I said with a grinned, we were slowly making our way to the mess hall,
“I can't believe it, well when you get back, will have to fix that!” he said, pulling something out of his pocket, wait did he say when I come back, he thinks I’m going to actually do it. No one ever believes, I can do anything, everyone thinks,Im a joke. I smiled,
“Yeah, ok,” I said, he stopped outside of the mess hall and handed me, a small corked bottle, I was pretty tempted to drink the white liquid inside it,
“That’s from the river Lethe, if you drink it, you’ll lose your memory, you can use it if you're in trouble, but make sure you don't drink it or someone that you actually like, because they won’t remember you” he said with a goofy grin,
“Good luck, I hope you come back safe” he said, falling asleep, I grabbed him before he fell with a laugh, and shook him awake,
“Thanks Clovis, keep in touch ok? Iris message me if you want” I said, giving him a hug, after about 30 seconds, he was drooling on my shoulder, I shook him awake,
“Oh sorry, no problem and yeah Irish message ok” he said with a smile, I said goodbye to him and made my way to my table, Will, the cabin leader, offering me a sit. Chiron wished us luck on our quest and let us eat, I ate half of a blueberry muffin, and watched Sarah make kissy faces at me the whole time. then everyone was dismissed to their daily activities, besides Nico, Sarah, and I, who headed to the top of the hill, we saw Percy, Annabeth, Piper and Jason on the way there, who wished us luck, we made it to the top of the hill with Drakon, I slung my back-pack over my shoulder and watch Sarah and Leo say goodbye to each other.
“I just found you and now i’m losing you again!” Leo said, a little teary eyed, Sarah smiled and hugged Leo.
“Don't worry will be back before you know it” Sarah said, putting her back-pack on,
“So what are the seating arrangement?” I asked we with a grinned, Nico looked at me with no amusement. Sarah jumped on Drakon,
“ARE YOU READY TO FLY DRAKON? she asked, petting his head, I jumped on next,
“shot-gun” I said, Nico sighed with annoycened , he slowly got on and sat behind me, and held on to the saddle, sitting no where close to me. This is going to be a great trip, I thought, as Drakon jumped into the air, leaving Leo behind, and soon, he became a small dot.



Sarah:
“ Slow it down Drakon” I said knowing that Nico wouldn’t really favor Drakon at top speed.
“ Stay low bud” I whispered into his ear.
“ Faster, Faster!” Julia screamed laughing, I looked back at Nico and he said
“ I’m alright, we can go a little faster” I smiled and patted Drakon
“ To New Mexico”
…

We had been flying for about three hours with no trouble meaning there obviously would be soon.
“ See anything to kill?!” Screamed Julia.
“ Why would you want us to get into trouble?!” Screamed Nico. Julia rolled her eyes and said
“ Well I’m bored.” I looked out into the distance and said
“ Well, it looks like you got your wish” Julia perked up
“ κλημεντίνη’s time to shine!” She said, taking out her sword
“ No” I said looking at the five Gorgons, flying towards us
“ I think it would be best if we stayed in the air and use arrows” Julia groaned
“Fine” She took out the bow and arrow set, I made for her in case of emergencies she handed them to me, I looked around the Gorgon’s were getting closer.
“ I don’t wanna use them, be to easy. Draw one over so I can chop its head off pretty please?” I giggled and said
“ Fine” Nico spoke up
“Wait what do I do?” Julia and I exchanged a look, we’re so used to eachothers style of fighting that it’s weird to have someone else along. I looked at a waiting Nico and said
“ You steer” I turned to Drakon and continued
“ Stay in the clouds Drakon” Drakon nodded and shot up in the sky. When he leveled out I said
“ Alright Nico, move in front of Julia.” It took while, Nico got in the front, took the reins, then Julia followed me by standing up. Julia spoke up
“ Wait Sarah, switch with me” I nodded and switched with Julia. Julia’s switched her sword into her scythe and jumped of Drakon onto the first Gorgon hooking the curved blade under its neck and chopping it off, with one swift movement.
“ Are you insane?!” Screamed Nico.
“ Maybe a little” I replied shooting an arrow at the next gorgon, Julia leveled out in the air and out out her arms and legs to get back up to Drakon.
” Drakon fire, 7 o’clock” Drakon opened his mouth at breathed out fire at the next gorgon.
“ That’s only three, there is still two more!” Nico screamed. Julia grabbed Drakon’s wing and slipped back into place next to me and looking around
“ See anything?” She asked us
“ No” Nico and I replied. I looked around and out of the corner of my eye saw some movement underneath us.
“ Cover me” I said to Julia, she nodded understanding what I was about to do. I jumped off Drakon, Julia following me leaving a screaming Nico. Julia who was a couple yards behind me swung her scythe at a now visible grogon.

One left I thought, I listened and hear something whistling towards me. I leaned to the side and a knife flew by me. I adjusted so I was vertically and fell faster towards the ground and flipped over so I was facing the gorgon who was about a yard away from me and I took out an arrow, shooting it right into the gorgons head.
It screeched and vaporized. I then spread out my limbs so I would fall slower. I looked to my left and Julia was doing the same thing. Sadly the ground was closer than I thought, I closed my eyes and concentrated. I felt a slight sensation in my arm and the next thing I know, Drakon grabbed both of us right before we hit the ground. I laughed and he threw both of us up and I landed in front of Nico who looked at me, in shock and said
“ Your arm” I nodded
“when I’m in trouble, if I concentrate hard enough, in my arm a dragon insignia burns in my skin like a tattoo. And I keep it covered in foundation, so I don’t have to explain to everyone.” He kept asking how, but I avoided the question not knowing how well he could be trusted. By the time everything was explained it was after nightfall and we decided to take a rest.
