Sarah


Nico and Julia explained to me what happened as we tended to our wounds. I still have no Idea where Drakon was and I was getting really worried.

" A Primeval God or Protogenoi, is like the basic components when the universe was made, kinda like water, the sky, air, earth, time, day, light and darkness, and Erebus is one of those guys" Julia said.

"Thats not good" I said once they finished explaining. They both nodded, both in pain and shock.
"Oh gods, Julia I have to set your shoulder, its dislocated." I said
"Ugh ok ,so like on thre- OWWW FUCKING DUCKS, OH GODS FOR THE LOVE OF BACON!”

" Sorry, the pain should fade in a little while." Julia groaned and leaned on my shoulder, for once neither of us dared to crack a joke. We didn't have much time left but we didn’t want to get up, we didn't want to have to hike up a mountain, we all just wanted to wake up from this endless nightmare. I looked down at Julia and over to Nico, he stared at the ground. His face was set serious but his deep dark mysterious eyes were filled with grief and sadness. He look up and met my eyes. I put my hand on his arm and shook my head.
Nico finally spoke.
"No." there was a pause,
"What?" Julia asked.
" No were not giving up. I didn't come across the U.S. and the Pacific on a freaking dragon just to give up now and neither did either of you. Look I am not the biggest people person. "
"Join our club" Julia whispered.
"And I honestly thought still think you're both insane, but you're both amazing in a fight and you've saved my life numerous times. Were not quitting now, we have to get moving, we don't have time, forget about Erebus for now." After that, I guess you would call it a hero speech, Nico stood up, only to fall back down. I stood up quickly, forgetting Julia was leaning on me, and caught hit in mid fall so he was leaning on me now, as Julia fall over on the ground.


Julia

Nico had one arm wrapped around Sarah's shoulders and the other clutching his side, probably because his ribs. Sarah had her arm wrapped around his waist, to help support him and her other hand on his hand that was clutching his rib.
"Are you ok?" She asked, he didn't answer the question but said,
" thanks"
I smirked,
"I hear the bells"
"What was that?" Sarah asked, removing her hand from his but keeping her arm around him in case he would fall again ... or least that’s what she would say if you asked her.
" Nothing " I said, smiling as I watched Sarah and Nicos faces turn red, as I whistled here comes the bride when I walked by them. Nico removed his arm and so did Sarah.
"I can stand now, we will just have to get some ambrosia or nectar though." He said.
"Yeah, I can't feel my arm." I said, Sarah and I turned to Nico hear his plans.
"Alright, lets get back to the main road-"
" but what about Drakon, he won't come." She had the insignia on her arm glowing blue and nothing happened, no roar, no drakon. Nico sighed
"Sarah, im sorry but we have to get moving, we don't have time to look for him now." Sarah looked at the ground nodded and then let out a strained
"Ok" I looped my arm (my good arm) through hers and said
"I’m sure he fine. I bet he flew over to the big island and is bathing in their volcanos."
After I said it I immediately doubted it, Drakon always comes for Sarah when the insignia burns within seconds. I have no idea where he could of gone. However, something in my gut told me that it had something to do with Erebus, but I wasn't going to voice that to the Sarah, I don't want her to worry anymore than she already was.
" Lets get going" Nico said.
We all trudged off the beach and through what looked like to be a small trail. Its was uphill and rocky and at some points we had to help each other.
When we made it to the top, we exited into a neighborhood. It was strange, all the houses lights were off, it was completely dark except for one flickering streetlight.
"Well, that's not scary at all." I said, I've never been one for the dark, which isn't weird considering my parents, I mean, my dad, not my bitch of a mom.
"We have to kee-" Nico started but then, Sarah slammed her hand over his mouth. He furrowed his eyebrows, Sarah pointed to some bushes. Nico's eyes went wide and then I realized why. Now walking out of the bushes was one of the weirdest monsters I've ever seen.
It looked like a lion but it has a goat head sticking out of its back, Its front legs those of a lions and its back legs those of a goat. Even weirder its tail ended the head of a snake.
"It's a Chimera, an offspring of Typhon and Echidna." Sarah said.
It growled and crouched like it was gonna pounce ... oh shit.
"MOVE!" Nico yelled, we all dove out of the way in different directions, just in time.
" UGH, IN CASE YOU GUYS DIDN'T NOTICE, NONE OF US ARE IN THE SHAPE TO FIGHT THIS RIGHT NOW." I screamed, My shoulder was throbbing. I saw something glowing out of the corner of my eye. I turned and saw it was the Chimera, with its mouth opened with a glowing fire lacing threw its teeth, before I realized what was happening, Sarah dove in front of me.
