We race through the tropical island of Oahu, with Nico clutching the back seat, while wearing 2 seat belts. Julia was hanging out the window, screaming for joy, while I pumped up the tones and was playing Highway to Hell by AC/DC. I yelled at Julia to come back in, and to make an iris message back to camp, I turned down the music. She came in and grabbed a water bottle from her backpack, and screamed,
“DUCK” at Nico, he bent other best he could, with the seat belts on and she chucked the water bottle, it exploded against the back seat and threw coins at it. Annabeth came up in a misty message, hunched over a table,
“Annabeth, how is my lady doing this fine day?” Annabeth quickly looked up,
“Oh, Julia, what’s the matter?” She said, wiping tears away from her face.
“Uhh, umm, are, you, you ok?” Julia said, very awkwardly, Percy walked over to her and sat down next to her, they were at the mess hall.
“Heyyyy, Percy” Julia said, Percy looked weary at the message,
“Hi” Annabeth slumped back down,
“Am I missing something?” Julia said, Percy frowned,
“Things at camp are getting worse, a lot of people are dieing” He said, Annabeth started crying,
“Piper’s gone”
“What?” I said, looking at the message, away from the road
“WATCH OUT” Nico screamed, I swerved away from a tree and around a corner.
“Jason won’t come out of his cabin, everything is horrible” Annabeth sniffed, Julia looked at Nico, he had a blank stare on his face. There was a silence, Leo came up from behind,
“ Are you guys ok?” Julia shrugged,
“As good as we are going to get” I glanced at the message, and said,
“Our dad payed us a visit, and gave us supplies, so we are good for now” Leo nodded, Nico sat forward,
“We are almost at our Diamondhead” Percy nodded and the message started to fade, Julia cleared her throat,
“ Um, is, uh, Clovis ok?” Leo nodded,
“Yeah, he’s fine” Julia sat back and nodded, Leo leaned over Percy,
“Be careful you guys” Julia nodded and the message evaporated, There was a silence, I didn’t know Piper very, maybe Nico did and I know Julia had spoke to her a couple times. We drove up to the Diamond head sign, and kept going. I reved the engine and went through the toll both, Nico screamed bloody murder, as Julia grabbed some of the money from the glove compartment and threw it at the dedris. We drove up to the beginning of the trial and skid to a stop,
“We are here” I said, getting out of the car, as Nico ran to a garbage can.
