Nicolas Evens: The Rise of the new ones

These shades were fast. Not only that but they were strong. Liz was on the ground battered and beaten while, I kneeled on my knee taking in the beating of a life time. The only one that wasn't taking much damage was Adam, but that had been on the account that he was using his fire as a means for attack.

Taking in a deep breath, I willed myself to form Reaper once more, this time, my vision blurred and I felt a sudden tug at my life aura. In a gasp of breath, I was standing in a castle decorated with various jewles and lovely minerals.

Great. Thanks a lot Dad! I thought to my self. Hades had the worst timing to make small talk. Aside from the fact that I didn't like speaking to him, he was also presistant, rude and very manipulative. Simetimes, I wonder how he even convinced my mom to go out with him, let alone have a child with him.

Considering he wasn't gonna let me out of this worpped reality until I met with him, I decided to move my way through the castle and into the throne room. The throne room was vast. It decently covered an entire floor at the Mariott. In the center stage, a throne was set up next to a smaller one. On the oversized throne sat a made with passionate hazel green eyes like mine. He held a head of hair that looked mesy let elegant. His robes were damp and revealed his legs which weren't hairy at all. His skin was pale actually even paler than mine, which was olive.

"What do you want, Hades?!" I said annoyed. "I'm kinda busy, making sure I don't die! You know, the demigod life."

"Insolent child." Hades sighed. "I have advice for you on your quest, this enemy of your's. Nyx isn't the type to fight fair. She's been alive since the beginning. Before everything came into being it was only Khaos. But he wanted more. He birthed her in hope of having someone, but she was a failure."

"How could you say that. She was his daughter! I'm sure, he didn't think so." I argued.

"Actually that's why he gave birth to Erebos, then came Anake and Chronos followed by the one you know as Cupid, and then Tartarus and Gaea." Hades sighed.

Irratated I turned. "This is something that you could dream chat me to listen to. I have to help my friends!"

"Nyx is far more powerful than all of her siblings. If you survive this quest, I would like for you to find Chiron and ask him about the way the previous heroes of Olympus defeated Gaea."

"Yea." I said annoyed. "I'll get right on that."

In a ray of light, I blinked to realize, my sword had caused another explosion. This time, the enemies weren't scathed at all. Instead my friends were beaten and defeated on the ground.

Enraged, I willed the earth to submission. In a facture of the earth, I summoned the ghouls of the undead. Forming before me was an army of the undead ready to do my bidding. Commanding them in Anceint Greek, the attacked. Various of them would charge in with their sworss others would smash through with rocks and twigs.

My line of defenses was at my side as we advanced together. Forging out my stygian iron sword, I charged forward and slashed at the shades. Every time I attacked, the shades would burn away their limbs and torso, where ever I cut they would burn that part of them away until I removed my blade.

Halting the assult, I smiled. "You two are weakened by the touch of my blade."

"We are ancient but we are only capable being destriyed completely by stygian iron." Noticing a glimer of light in the horizon, the shade sighed. "We shall return, child of Hades prepare yourself." In a vanishing of darkness the army and the shades were gone.


After, I healed my friends with ambrosia, I filled them in on what happened during my talk with Hades. My tone wasn't pleasent considering he wasn't much of a good father.

"I see. So the pronogenoi are stronger based on their age?" Liz wondered.

Adam gazed at her curiously. "I wouldn't say that. I mean Gaea could be stronger than Erebos or even Tartarus who according to Hades was born before her. But I wouldn't be sure about that conversation with Chiron. Where could that centuar be anyway?"

"The Divine Garden." I answered. Turning toward me, the both of them looked at me like I was crazy. "What? It's not that hard to notice, most centuars are there anyways. But it seems weird considering he should be helping demigods. At least that's what themyths say."

"He did at one point in time." Liz answered. "I over heard some demigods telling a story once about the valley being something else. I recalled them calling it a camp. I wasn't aure why but they also talked about a child of Poseidon, like he was a savior. Kinda like the way Disney platrays Hercules or in Greek Herakles."

"Either or it's more or less the same." Adam added. "Please continue."

"Anyways, apparently this child of Poseidon had defeated a ressurected Kronos and even challenged the Titans. If it wasn't bad enouh he even met some group of demigods in the west. The stories even said he faced Gaea and survived. But what scares me the most was that he recreated the camp alongside Chiron. They changed it to incorporate various things from the other demigods."

"What other kinds of demigods are ther?" Adam wondered.

"I don't know but we should get a move on. It'll be a long way to Atlanta, we've gotta get there in three days."

"Why?" Adam asked.

"Because the solstice is in five, we need to at least have two days to solve our problem with Nyx." I sighed, rising to my feet, I released the stygian iron blade and it reformed back into Illiad.

"Alright then," Liz shouted. "Let's go."

The shades are gone for now, but whats this problem with the demigods? And why do they need to find Chiron. Questions will be answered soon.
