The new Goddess

'Excuse me,' Alex said, 'but I have to ask you something.' Wow she actually TALKED to me! 'Go on.' I said.
'Well, what happened exactly yesterday? You know, with the dark air and the exploding bus...'
'I went looking for you after a while and then suddenly I hang in the air. You started to talk to the air and then you stated to scream. Everything became colder and I had to cover my eyes because there was a sort of light coming from you, it was not light but it was so bright I had to cover my eyes. Otherwise I would be blind now.'
'Anything else?'
'No, that's all.'
'Ok, thanks.'
'Is that all I get?'
'Yes.'
She walked to the front of the row. We were walking through the woods. I had no idea if we were walking in the good direction but I didn't dare to ask. Callum walked next to me and Alex and Tess walked before us. They were discussing something important. Their faces looked really serious. Abby walked behind me. I didn't talk to her, I guess that would be awkward after the Eros thing.
Tess and Alex turned around and looked at us. Alex started talking: 'Group.' She said. Her hair was so beautiful in the sunlight. It almost looked gold. Her eyes were full of live and energy. That's the ADHD thing I guess. She looked so brave and cool. Even the little scar on her cheek was cute. I wondered how she got it. I was amazed how she was so amazing and mean at the same time. Believe me, she was mean. She'd ignored me for days. She'd only talked to me if she needed something. Sure, maybe it was my fault but is never got the chance to make things right. I really wanted to tell her I was sorry. I wanted to convince her that I could be like before. I wanted her to be mine.
I realized that Alex was still talking and payed attention.
'-and that's why we decided to find out what this mysterious monster was. If you see anything not normal, tell it.'
'Something like that?' Abby said.
We all looked in the direction she showed us. There was dark mist hanging between the trees. 'Its a path.' Callum said. We looked better and saw the path and started following it. We walked for an hour or maybe more and then the path was gone. We were in the middle of the woods. We had no idea where we were. I looked around me, trees, only trees. The path behind us was gone. We were lost. I sighed. What now? Suddenly I heard something. I looked at Alex. She'd heard it to and drew her sword. I followed her and also drew my sword. Abby drew her dagger and Callum got his bow ready. 'Guys..' Tess said. 'Put it away. You don't need it.' We looked at Tess. Was she crazy? 'Trust me,' she continued, 'it's nothing to be afraid of.'
'Are you sure?' Alex asked.
'100%' Tess said.
'So what's coming?' I asked.
She couldn't answer because the answer was right in front of me and showed me his teeth. Wolfs. I looked at Alex, she looked as confused as I. Nothing to be afraid of? I really started to think that Tess was crazy.
'Nos amici sunt.' Tess told the wolfs. Was- was that Latin? Was Tess speaking Latin?! The wolfs looked at Tess. Their yellow eyes were a lot friendlier now. Their leader nodded to Tess mad turned around. (Could wolfs nod?) The other wolfs followed their leaders example and in a few seconds they were gone.
'You speak Latin?' Alex asked Tess.
'Ehh... No?' She answered.
'But you just did!'
'Oh.. Hum.. Really?'
'Tess, do you have to tell us something?'
Tess looked really nervous. After a while she answered Alex question.
'Okay,' Tess said, 'I'm Roman. I just didn't dare to tell you guys because, well, you're Greek. I was afraid you wouldn't like me if you knew. I thought you wouldn't take me if I told you. Pleas don't leave me here!'
'Tess,' Alex said, 'we won't leave you. We don't hate Romans. And we trust you. You're part of our group now. You can't leave it that easy.' She smiled at Tess.
'So, if you know you were Roman. Do you also know who your godly parent is?' Callum asked.
'I am a daughter of Minerva, Athena in Greek.'
'You don't look like one.' I said. 'I mean you don't have grey eyes or blond hair. That's weird.'
She smiled. 'Sometimes weird things happen.'
