The new Goddess

13. Alex

My shoulder hurt so bad! 'Is- Is she going to be okay?' I heard someone asking, I thought it was Abby. Silence. My shoulder screamed. 'Yeah,' someone finally said, I recognized Callum's voice. He sounded close. I tried to focus on him but the only thing I saw were black spots. 'It will take a while to heal, but she's going to be okay. We're so lucky the sword didn't hit her heart. Otherwise she would be dead now.' he continued. I wanted to scream or cry or maybe both but I just couldn't. I had to be brave. Callum did his job and gave me a painkiller. The pain was softer now and my vision cleared a little. Tess sat next to me. Her head was bleeding. 'What?' I asked and reached my hand to her head. She turned her head away. 'Oh it's nothing.' She looked worried. What had happened? I saw a sword with green poison on in laying next to me. How did it get there? I tried to get up, my shoulder didn't agree with that. Callum told me to lay down again. Then I noticed Finn. He looked uncomfortable. He had the first watch I remembered. 'Who had the second watch?' I asked. They looked at eachother. 'No one.' Abby finally said. 'What?' Finn didn't look tired. 'Finn you fell asleep didn't you?'
He looked away, not knowing what to say. 'You said you took the first watch! Do you know how important that is? Five demigods have a strong smell! We could be dead!' I said.
'But we aren't, and nothing really bad happened so he can learn about this.' Abby said. There was the old evil Abby again. I really didn't miss her. 'Hey!' Tess said. 'Alex almost got killed! That's not nothing!'
'I didn't say that there had nothing happened, I just said that there had nothing really bad happened.'
Tess looked so angry, but she was smart enough not. to go into a discussion with Abby. She turner and faced me. 'You should rest.' She said.
'No!' I answered. 'We can't stay here, we have to move on.'
Tess looked at Callum. He nodded. 'Its okay, she's right.'
Tess looked still worried but did what Callum had told her. Everyone packed their bags and we moved on. It was hard in the beginning. Every move I made hurt, but after a while I got used to it and it went much better.
I was angry at Finn, again, he brought the group in danger! How could he do that? And then there was this stupid girl named Abby who was flirting with him all the time.
I walked with Callum and Tess. We talked about what we should do and who our anamy could be. Callum checked my shoulder once in a while. It still hurt but I tried to ignore it. Their were more important things at the moment. I told them about the air monster and what had happened when I killed it. I told them about my past in the orphanage (only Some important things). But I didn't tell them about my memorie. That I could remember everything and that I could see someone else's memories if I wanted to. That was to personal I think.
'Remember when Finn was attacked by the invincible something?' Callum asked.
'Yes off course.' I answered. Tess didn't know where we were talking about so we explained it fast to her. She nodded. 'Is that why you're mad at him?' She asked. 'Well, uhm, yes. But don't change the subject!'
'I think the invincible something works for the same person as the air monster. It has to be someone really powerful, because those were really strong monsters. And I don't think they were the only two.' Callum continued.
'Its true what he says.' Tess said. 'But the thing that bothered me is that when you showed up to camp, it all started. It is like they are connected to you. Not that it's your fault but I think you have something they want.'
