Sincerely, Trixie

My first day of Camp

Camp Half-Blood isn't what I thought it would be. I mean sure. There was everything from the books, but I didn't think it wouldn't be a medieval type of thing. I thought it would look like the movie. It didn't.

When I first walk into the Hermes cabin, I try my best not to jump back from all the different colors and smells. It's like a rainbow of colors, but with more. Two boys walk up, a green air of mischief floats around them.

"I'm Connor." Says the one on the left with the tank top on. It has the Camp Half-Blood logo on it.

"I'm Travis." The one on the right says. I can tell the difference even though they're twins. Travis has less of the evil mischief glint in his eyes. Connor has more.

"I'm Trixie." I say, looking around the room. Bunk beds and sleeping bags are almost everywhere. There are a dozen kids sit around in a circle, talking quietly.

"Guys, can you show Trix around? I have to go meet with Chiron." Forest says as she pushes me forward.

Connor and Travis welcomed me, but not how I would have thought. I saw a yellow air, and ducked, a pie sails over my head and splatters on the wall. I stand back up, glaring at Connor. Travis punches him in the arm, thus beginning my long stay with the Stoll brothers.

I'm shown to a sleeping bag in the far right corner, and told this is where I would be saying till I get claimed. I already understood this, and didn't ask questions. They seemed a little surprised, but I just walk out of the cabin with a dignified air.

I'm walking around the arena, looking for a glimpse of Percy, when I see a black air coming from behind me. Black can mean lots of different things. It can mean, death, trickery, pranks, and some others that I personally do not like to talk about. I started to run, noticing a rustling in the woods to my left. I run towards the arena doors.

I burst through the doors, to find Annabeth and Percy dueling, and Clarisse running after me. Ugh. I should have know. They stopped to watch me cower behind a dummy, me wishing I was invisible. Clarisse was tall, buff, and unlike any girl I had ever seen. Percy and Annabeth sighed, knowing what was going on. Percy walks over to me, and my heart starts racing. Clarisse lunges at me, and I step to the side, dodging her body.

She looks up in shock, jumping up, and running at me again. Have you ever seen a movie or a TV show where one guy is attacking another guy, and the guy who was being attacked makes no move, and is just dodging? Well, that's what happened with me and her. She, trying to grab some part of me, me, dodging her every move.

I had no idea where I got the skills, but I had them. Percy stared in awe, is mouth was gaping a little bit. Annabeth looked impressed, her gray eyes were piercing me. Percy has an air of blue around him, and Annabeth had a orange air. Did I ever mention how helpful me being able to 'see' things is? It's almost like I can tell the future.

Clarisse finally falls face first to the floor, and I step away not wanting to feel her wrath once it comes.

"Wow. I've never seen anyone do that before." Annabeth says. I flash her a grin.

"I didn't know I could. I'm Trixie by the way."

"Annabeth. And this fly catcher is Percy." She says, waving her hand towards Percy.

"Hi." I say with a little wave. Percy doesn't say anything, but seems to be looking me over, almost scanning me. A smile slowly creeps up his mouth, and he whispers something to Annabeth. Her eyes get wide, just as Clarisse stands up.

I dash out the the door, leaving a trail of dust behind me. I manage to run right into someone, and fall flat on my back, suddenly staring up at the gray sky. Wait. Gray sky? I stand up, still looking at the sky, confused by how it's over Camp. I look down to help whoever I bumped into, and stumble back at all the images being thrown at me like a rubber ball.

The forest in fire, a giant bull, a school bell ringing, strawberries, a single sword laying in the dust, a creepy mummy, a pink scarf, a flash of light. I cover my eyes, trying to make the images stop, but I can't. I'm stumbling backwards, losing my balance. I feel two hands grip my shoulders and steady me.

I see the same blue again, and too scared to open my eyes, I kneel down. I breath deeply, my hands at my side, blades of cool wet grass tickling my fingers. I feel a bigger, tougher hand grab my shirt and haul me up, dragging me along. I open my eyes and spin around, catching her arm in mine, and pulling up. I heard a howl of pain and punch her in the eye.

Realizing that I just punched Clarisse in the face, I turn around and ran to the Big House, hoping to find Forest.

Notes

Okay. This is like a bit of a third person view, and I'm doing that on purpose. Just FYI. That's how Trixie sees things.
