The Fire

I burst into what I hope is Chiron's office, and see Forest sitting in from of a dark oak wood table that looks like chocolate, and she's talking to Chiron.

"Clarisse. Annabeth. Percy. Clarisse is trying to kill me." I gasp, leaning on the door frame for support. Forest sighs and walks out the door.

"Sit down." Chiron says motioning to the green chair Forest was just sitting in. I sit down, leaning back and breathing heavily from my run.

"From what I have heard you see thing a little differently, correct?" He asked.

I nod. "I see what you can't see. I see in color. For example, around you I see gray, which can mean old age, knowledge, or depression. I see things like cold air, and orange heat waves, stuff no one else seems to see. I can see your memories, or what you've been through, just by grabbing the colored air. Around Percy was a blue air, Annabeth had orange, and Forest, she has a color that doesn't have name."

"And the air you grabbed from around me?" He asked.

I pull out the air from my pocket and let it float through my fingers and around the room. I watch it float around like a wisp of hair getting caught in the stream of air from a AC vent. I grab it before it disappears, and toss it back and forth in my hands.

Chiron give me a puzzled look. "I'm playing with air." I said.

I'm not sure how he took that, but he went on explaining about Camp, apparently not knowing I know about Camp. I just nod, understanding it all. After about fifteen minutes of explaining, Forest bursts in with a wild look on her face.

"Clarisse set the arena on fire! Percy's trying to put it out, but there's not enough water! We need a fire engine! Something! I've got campers getting buckets of water from the bath tubs and sinks, but it won't be enough!" She practically yelled.

I calmly walk out to inspect it, Forest and Chiron gaping at me. I frown at the black curls of smoke, thinking about the school fire. Two fires in one day. Yay. I grab the wet air from around the lake and push them towards the fire.

Normally air makes flames stronger, but not my air. This air is wet, and cold, helping to put out the fire. The fire dances along the walls inside the arena. I see dummies on fire, and swords steaming, from the colorful flames. I take a deep breath and grab as much air as I can and blow it into the arena. As I blow on it, it turns to snow, melting quickly.

I keep going at it until I'm so dizzy I can't stand. I sit down hard on the soft grass, breathing deeply. I close my eyes and try to concentrate on something other than the burning in my gut, and the sweat pouring off my face.

I start to feel chilly, even though it's 90 degrees outside, and I'm sweating like a waterfall. I open my eyes and see dark gray smoke billowing like clouds from the arena. The fire was out, but it was smoking like it was still on fire. I stand up dizzily and summon more air and blow it on the smoke, revealing a flaming dummy in steaming armor.

Percy quickly puts it out, and I fall to my knees again. I shake my head, trying to clear it, and slowly stand up. I walk into the arena, even though I heard shouts not to. I cough from the smoke, searching for something. I hear shouts, though they seem far away.

I start coughing violently, and place a hand on the wall. I quickly take it off, and feeling hot tears fall from my face.

I suddenly hear a loud crack, and everything goes quiet. I look beside me, and see a wooden board about to fall. I start running towards the doorway, wooden beams starting to fall from the ceiling. As I reach the door frame, I trip on a bucket, and fall face first onto the floor.

I hear ringing in my ears, as I blast the smoke away from me, creating a tunnel. I felt a hand grasp mine, and just as I start to stand up, I feel an incredible pain in my legs. I scream like I've never screamed before, feeling the crack.

The worst part was, I couldn't loose consciousness. I felt the earth tremble as more planks and beams fell, I felt the beam being lifted off my legs. The thing that scared me the most, was I couldn't feel my legs. It sure looked like it hurt, but I didn't feel a thing.

I felt the stretcher under my back, but not under my legs. I drank the nectar and ate the ambrosia, but I still couldn't feel my legs. I ignore everyone, and only talk unless someone talks to me.

I finally drifted off to a restless sleep, and when I woke up.....

Notes

Sorry. I know this one is short, and quick paced, but I'm super tired and have to get up early tomorrow for a TKD Tournament. Sorry!
