Nico and Reyna's quest with the Athena Parthenos

My first thought after the first shadow travel with the Athena Parthenos was "I hate this sometimes" I was completely drained of energy from taking Reyna, Hedge, me, and the giant statue across the ocean and into Florida. I looked around for about two seconds before everything went black and I collapsed from exhaustion. I woke up a few hours later and looked around seeing Reyna sitting by me and Hedge(as usual)sleeping, I winced a bit as my head was throbbing from going so far and taking more than one thing with me, sitting up I immediately almost passed out from the pain getting worse in my head and Reyna looked over at me gently making me lay back "don't sit up for a bit" Reyna said looking at me and giving me a piece of ambrosia for my headache. When I finished the piece of ambrosia the headache went away slowly and I sat up looking at the fire, taking my sword out, and I poked the flames lightly with the tip "doesn't that old goat get enough 'naps' a day?" I said jokingly to Reyna trying to break the silence. She looked over at me with a surprised expression, I knew no one was used to me joking around, and she got a small smirk on her face "I guess we need to put emphasis on 'old goat'" she said putting a few more sticks on the fire and she yawned lightly "why don't you sleep I'll keep watch" I said to her. She shook her head "you need the sleep after shadow traveling" I shook my head as well "you haven't slept... I've been passed out so I'm not tire" she took the idea that no was the only answer she would get and she curled up and fell asleep. I looked over at her and just couldn't help but grin, she didn't look like that roman leader she was, she looked relaxed and almost like any normal teenager.I stayed up all night and she was the first to wake up and she glanced at me "morning" she said drowsily "morning... we should find some water" she nodded and we scribbled down a note for Hedge to know where we were and wouldn't try to find us and we headed off into a small Florida forest. We found a creek after a few minutes of walking and the water was so clear and clean, so we grabbed our 6 water bottles and filled them and I splashed some water on my face and Reyna looked at me and smirked "I won't be surprised to see Hedge still asleep when we get back" I looked at her "he will be, remember? 'Old goat'" she made a small giggle which surprised me since it was coming from a roman leader like her "come one... and Leo is rubbing off on you" I smirked and got up and walked with her "I bet you Hedge is awake and trying to find us and didn't even read the note" I smiled a bit which surprised her "deal, whoever loses has to keep watch" we shook hands and when we got there I got my chance to sleep tonight seeing Hedge hasn't moved and Reyna shook her head "stupid goat... you caused me my sleep at night" I walked over and flicked Hedge in the head, didn't move, so I smacked him the side of the head and he woke up as quick as he could and glared at me "hey! Why are you waking me up so early" he complained "Its the afternoon" I flicked his forehead "get up you lazy goat" he tried to protest but I told I would make him a flower the hard way of being reincarnated, Reyna and I both laughed at his face when I said that and Hedge took her hand and she took mine and I shadow traveled straight to North Carolina.
