Time's Daughter

My fingers moved quickly along the keys. I've been looking information on black holes for months now but I've found nothing. Why would Athaliah fall silent, warn me about black holes, and then never say anything again?
It didn't make any sense. I sighed and leaned back in the chair pushing the keyboard away from me. I stared at my stomach. It was swollen with the child inside. I smiled. Any day now, and I would have a son. Any day. If only it would come sooner.
A knock sounded at the door and Nico walked in. His face was happy and smiling. He didn't seem to stop smiling nowadays. "How are you?" he asked.
"I'm fine," I told him for the millionth time. "And so is the baby." I added answering his next question before he got it out.
He placed a hand on my stomach. "I can't wait," he said with an excited whisper. "I want to hold my son."
I smiled and began to speak only to be cut off by pain. My head began to throb menacingly. I cried out.
"What is it?" asked Nico. "Is it the baby?"
I shook my head. "It's not the baby--it's" I froze. "It's Athaliah."
Silence falls in the room, no one moves a muscle.
"HE'S COMING!!!" screamed Athaliah, her voice resonating from every corner of the room. "HE IS COMING FOR ALL OF US! HE WILL KILL US!!!"
Nico looked at each other. Fear is written in both of our eyes. I cannot fight. Not in my condition. And what ever is coming is enough to scare Athaliah to the point of almost taking corporeal form.
I grabbed Nico's hand. "We need to leave!"
We could hear someone trying.g to get into the gates. We could hear footsteps following us. Heavy foot steps that were massive and weighed millions. But we never turned. We didn't dare to try and find out what was following us. We were too afraid.
But of course, it got worse.

So a little quicky chapter on my tablet...My computer crashed and it won't be repaired until Saturday probably not going to get another one until after that


also a quick explanation about the black holes bit---in the spacey part on the universe on the event horizon of a black hole time is said to stop....blah blah blah I got it from how the universe works episode two...look it up
