Ashes

"What's your business here," The guard said, not so enthusiastically. This was the first time I was ever going to go inside the prison. There was never a need to. I held up the purple slip of paper, and he stepped back, sighing, and opened the gate. I hastily walked in, looking around the halls for room 1165B. One corridor had 1000A-1100A, the next had 1000B-1100B. The one after that was 1101A-1200A. And finally, the one after that, was 1101B-1200B. I strode down the long hallway, stopping and looking at each cell door to make sure I didn't pass it.

Prisoner 11655B was all the way at the end of the hallway. Two stationary guards sat out front, eyeing me quizzically .

"What are you doing here?" The one on the left said, moving forward. "This isn't a zoo!" I lifted up my paper, and he stood straight.

"Oh, my apologies, sir. May I ask which Praetor had sent you?"

"Julia," I said, and he finally understood.

"Ah, okay. What business do you have here?" He asked politely.

"I'm here to see prisoner 1165B." He eyed the guard on the right, before taking three keys and stuffing them into different keyholes, and the door finally opened.

"You have 5 minutes." He said, letting me in.

Inside was a man in his 20's. He had long, jet black hair, green eyes, and a steady voie.

"Well, it's about time I got a visitor."
