Ashes

I threw a pebble, and it hit my sister directly in the eye.

"Ow!" She cried, holding her eye and tumbling into various tables and bookshelves.

"Anna!" I said, motioning for her to come outside. She threw her purse down.

"Urgh!" She stormed outside, and when she came over to my side, she slapped me in the face. "What was that for? And where did you go?" She demanded, still holding her eye.

"Listen, I know who did this to Josh. We need to go find them. Dad's old enemies from the war are coming back and trying to kill us. There were survivors from the war." Anna gave me a blank stare

"And what makes you think this?" Anna asked, crossing her arms.

"I went and talked to someone who was on the other team in the war. They're Greeks." I pulled her hand, but she stayed in place.

"Anna, let's go. Don't you want to avenge Josh?" Anna pulled her hand out of my grasp.

"What are you even planning on doing to these Greeks anyway? And how do you even know where to start?"

"I'll go back and ask the man who told me everything so far. Seriously, we can completely stop the attack! What if they try again? What if this time, they kill Julia? Or mom? Or dad? Or me?" Anna thought for a moment.

"I'll go to grandmoms house, and i'll sneak out and meet up with you somewhere. Just go get the information, and i'll meet you back at..."

"The gas station. It's close to the house, and I can buy some snacks there. Tell mom and dad i'm-"

"Don't worry about mom and dad, Allen. I'll tell them something. Just go talk to your weirdo friend." Anna smiled weakly at me before walking off, with me heading in the other direction, before someone threw a bag over my head and pulled me into a bush, and hit me in the head, knocking me out.
