I awoke with a start, thoughts about Brenda plaguing my mind. I shouldn't think about her, she lives on the other side of the country now, it's over. Her words echoing in my head "I love you,"
was the last thing she said to me.

I got out of bed and headed out to the kitchen, when I got out there I heard humming, a women's humming. I followed the beautiful melody until I found a woman, she was tall, fiery red hair and sky blue eyes, she was beautiful.

"You should stop staring, its rude you know," her voice as soft as the silk white dress she was wearing.

"S-sorry, who a-are you?"

"Hmph. I'm surprised you don't recognize me. You have my eyes and your father's chin, such a wonderful mix,"

Anger and relief clogged my head,"How dare you come here! You abandoned me and left my father for someone else!"

"Connor, Connor calm down. I never abandoned you, I didn't want to leave but I had to, you'll understand," just then she embraced me in a hug, continuing the melody from which she stopped.

"But first we must go to Kadigat, there are some people we need to meet over there,"

"That's where Brenda lives,"

"And that's where you'll stay," a glow shimmered around her, like gold dust.

"Take my hand Connor," I took it, the next thing I knew we were in a small cabin.

"Connor? Is that you?" Brenda's voice said.
