Dust and Gold

So yeah, I'm going to say this: AT LEAST I DIDN'T DIE, HURRAY!!!
But I: Tripped, almost got stabbed, sprained my ankle and almost broke my neck. Oh also, I ALMOST BECAME CALLIE SCORPION CHOW. But hey! I'M ALIVE!
Ok let me go back to where I had finished before.
We were called to sword-fighting classes and stuff all day, I learned:
A) I'm not terrific with a bow and arrow, but I'm decent.
B) I'm pretty good at sword fighting.
C) I cannot ride a pegasus, like, at all.

Dinner time rolled around, and I heard a loud bell sound. I ate the delicious food they had here and once the meal was over, my sword-fighting instructor, Quintus, had us all suit up in armor and explained the game. First he told us about the teams of 2, and that they were pre-picked.
I ended up being teamed up with an undetermined girl name Alexia, which I met earlier.
She had long brown hair and piercing ice blue eyes, that looked surprisingly warm when they looked at me. She wore an orange t-shirt (like everyone else) with a brown vest on top. She had... well what can be described as a 4 leaf clover painted on her chestplate and two 4 leaf clovers were weaved in her hair. She wore olive green shorts and black converse.
" 'Ello! My name's Alexia, but you can call me Ally " She said in a faint english accent.

"Hi, um... I'm Callie." I said back, she put her hand out for me to shake.

I turned to Tyson, who was looking at his partner -which had red hair and looked half donkey or something- like he was going to eat him. Percy was chatting with Annabeth. who he was teamed up with.
"So, do you have a plan on how to catch our trinket thingy?" I ask Alexia.

"Nope," She said

"Well, when in doubt..." I started, but I forgot the rest of the saying.

"We follow the best!" She said while pointing to Percy.
"um... Ok, but why is Percy the best?" I ask.

"Let me explain while walking,"

She told me how Percy, 2 years ago, had battled the Minotaur on his own, no weapon. The fight had ended with Percy killing it with it's own horn. Then he dragged his Satyr friend to the big house right before he collapsed, and some other stories like how he battled Lastrigon-something or others in Gym class at his school (With the help of Annabeth and his half brother Tyson of course).

"Cool..." I was left with my jaw hanging, this kid looked like a clumsy dork! The bravest thing I've ever done was escaping from my orphanage into the woods with only 20 bucks in my pocket, he's had more adventures than... Something that has lots of adventures.

"Shh, they've stopped." She whispered, putting her arm in front of me while pointing to Percy.
Then 2 kids popped out, they were tripping through the woods and cursing.

Alexia rolled her eyes. Soon they were gone and Percy continued.

We were pretty deep in the woods when Annabeth suddenly stopped.

"This is where we stopped looking" She said. Stopped looking for what?.

"I saw him last night" Percy said. I wanted to ignore their conversation but something inside me told me that this was important. Alexia had stopped making any sort of noise, when I looked at her, she was consetrating on them.
"What do you mean?" Annabeth asked.

Percy told her about an iris-message (what is that?) and a kid named Nick (I think) summoning the dead.
Suddenly I heard something big break a branch next to us, Percy and Annabeth did not hear it, but I did. I stopped listening to their conversation, I nudged Alexia and pointed to a dark shadow that was lurking in a patch of trees near us. Another branch broke further, this time Percy and Annabeth heard it, they took their weapons out and moved towards a large pile of boulders.
Annabeth said something I didn't catch.

"No wait, behind us," Percy said.

Scuttling noise came from several directions, including behind us. Suddenly a sweet voice said "Hi" I jumped, it was a girl with Green tinted skin behind Percy. The scuttling noise behind us got louder. I turned around and saw a giant scorpion lurking, I almost let out a squeal. Alexia put her hand over my mouth and motioned for me to stay still. That's when the scorpion started moving towards us. We both got up and started running when I tripped, in the process of falling I almost broke my neck, the scorpion ignored us completely and headed straight towards Percy.

Stuff's about to get serious...
