Nico's POV

Now before you get all freaked out, I did NOT mean to cut myself like that. What I MEANT to do was put the blade back in my belt and run. But of course, I got all nervous and cut my arm. So naturally, I fainted. In front of Natalie. What the hell.

Natalie's POV

When Nico woke up, I was still in the infirmary. Once he fainted, I yelled for Jason and all three of us (Jason, Piper, and I) carried him to the infirmary. On the way, Jason kept asking me questions.

"How did you find him?" He said.

"I heard him in the mess hall closet." I replied

"What did you do?" He asked

"I opened the door." I said.

"What did you see when you opened the door?" He said.

"I saw Nico with his sword to his arm. When he saw me, he jumped and accidentally cut his arm." I said.

"Hmm." Jason said.

The rest of the walk to the infirmary was silent. I put him down on a cot. I was SO tempted to kiss his forehead, but I know he's gay. I read the Heroes of Olympus series in my old life. That would be against the rules. Just your typical demigod fangirl on your typical warship.

Anyways, when he woke up, I was just sitting there, rocking my chair back and forth.

"Nat?" I heard.

"Hmm?" I say.

"How did you find me?" Nico asked.

"I heard you in there. If you want to be sneaky, don't move around so much." I said with a light chuckle.

"Oh." he said.

"But why the hell did you do that?!?! You could have died!!! Don't you know how deadly Stygian Iron is to demigods?! What the hell?!?!" I yelled, unexpected even to me.

"Sorry." he said.

"I mean, I get your whole I'm gay and no one loves me act but WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU TRY TO CUT YOURSELF?!" I said.

He looked shocked. "You- you know??" he whispered.

"Yeah, and your lucky no one else is on the ship." I said.

"Okay, but you wouldn't get it." Nico said.

"Yeah, I would! My 2nd grade teacher was gay, and no one acted different about him! What's the difference between you and any other gay guy in America?" I said.

He didn't answer.

I kept on talking. " You are NOT just some kid who happens to be gay. You are Nico di Angelo, son of Hades. You are YOU, and nothing can change that."

And then, I did the dumbest thing ever. I leaned over, grabbed the neck of his shirt, and KISSED him. And the weird thing was, he wasn't freaked out. He even blushed a little, the he leaned over and KISSED ME BACK.

What the hell just happened? I thought, my cheeks as red as a tomato.

"But--" I was interrupted mid-sentence.

"Not gay. Bi." Nico said.

I wanted to squeal. I wanted to jump up and down with joy. I wanted to dance around the room and scream. And you know what? I did. After my fangirl-fest was over, I sat back down.

"I didn't know until I met you. Percy was the first hero I met, and well..." his voice trailed off.

"I get it. Trust me, I do." I said.

Oh my gods Nico di Angelo just kissed me oh my gods oh my gods OH MY GODS! My inner fangirl thought.

"I'm guessing your screaming on the inside, since you haven't said anything for like 5 minutes." Nico said.

I nodded. My life just got way more interesting.
