Wait, What?

After 5 days of sailing and sailing and SAILING and SAILING, we FINALLY got to the House of Hades.

"You got the barley cakes?" Jason asked Hazel.

She nodded and passed one out to each of us. Coach Hedge got to stand guard form the air. Nico was the only one who didn't look nervous.

"We're one step closer to Annabeth and Percy, guys, let's go." He said for the first time without dread.

We all walked in and a chalice appeared filled with green liquid. Everyone took a sip after eating their barley cakes to make the poison less deadly. Didn't stop me from making my world famous sour face (A/N: I wasted a perfectly good Extreme Sour Warhead on this kid and he didn't even have a sour face!! You know who you are :P). Anyways, we walked farther down, Hazel leading us. Eventually, after what seemed like forever, we stopped. Nico and I were at the back, so I didn't know where we stopped.I inched closer to the front and tip-toed to see where we were, and saw a large room with a floor made of wood scraps, gems, and other offerings made by ancient Greeks to their ancestors. Hazel, Leo, and I got across first. Before the others could cross, thousands of monsters crashed to the floor, breaking the offerings pathway and blocking off the exit to the tunnel we just entered.

"NICO!!" I yelled.

Apparently, the rocks were soundproof.

Nico's POV

"NATALIE!!" I yelled.

My mind was racing. All I could think of was 1) How much those monsters were gonna get pummeled, and 2) How to get Nat out of there. I raised my staff and summoned the dead. Apparently, Jason couldn't control them, but Frank could. Only a few obeyed, though.

"It's my rank." Frank said. "I'm only a centurion, I need to be a praetor."

"Well then promote him!" I yelled at Jason.

"I, Jason Grace, praetor of the Twelfth Legion Fulminata, hereby resign my position to Frank Zhang due to emergency reasons." he said.

At first, nothing happened, but then I noticed that all the undead were listening to Frank now. Several of the skeletons pulled out bows and nocked their arrows, which spontaneously burst into flame as they were shot at the monsters. One by one, the number of monsters decreased, until there were no more. I felt a rumble.

"Come on guys, we need to hurry!" I said.

We ran down the tunnel after carefully walking around the hole. When we got there, I saw the most frightening sight I've ever seen (and that's coming from ME): The giant of darkness.
