18 years earlier...


The Argo II pulled over the double walls that surrounded Camp Jupiter. The ballistics were setting fire to multiple houses. I felt guilty... like I shouldn't have done this. Camp Jupiter was a great place, but there were entire families here- children, mothers, fathers, all about to burn. And for what? A petty dispute about heritage?

I curved the Argo around to its side, having the port side fire at the Outer Wall, and starboard side fire among the houses. I slipped my Wii remotes up, putting the sails at half mast for maximum damage. I felt alone, even though there were Demigods aboard waiting to be dropped into the war zone below.

"Okay, you're clear to jum-" I was cut off when a black pegasus landed amongst the Greeks. A man who I've known all too well hopped off and started to battle the Greeks.

Isaac.

I set the sails up completely and charged after him, but Isaac decided to make a run for it into the lower decks. There were tons of Greeks trying to get down and kill him, which made a sort of road block. I finally managed to get ahead of the crowd and darted past hallways and checking rooms for him.

"Isaac!" I yelled to the priest at my wedding. "Stop running!" Isaac and I had been pretty good friends, but like most things in the war, it crumbled to pieces. The ship started to slowly turn sideways, and my head hit the wall. I decided to head for the engine room, which was just down the hall.

But I never made it. The ship turned completely upside down, smashing me against the ceiling. A sharp crack filled the halls and sunlight poured in from above me. The floor was giving way... the Argo was breaking in half! I grabbed hold of the broken pipe to my left as the other half of the ship broke off right in front of me, with my side of the ship falling to the ground just as fast.

This is going to hurt.

Some time later...

My eyes fluttered open with the smell of fire filling my nostrils. There wasn't a Draft in this place, and it was a dark Grey color. I looked around and saw multiple dead bodies... Both Roman and Greek. My clothes had multiple holes in them, and my chunk of my right forearm was missing, revealing my bone... which wasn't a pretty site.

Ovens to my left were lit with people inside of them... I was inside a morgue! I got off of the cold metal table, puzzled on how I lived... and why whoever put me here thought I was dead.

"...is doing well, but he's taken a beating." Said a deep voice behind a white curtain.

"A hero can't die that easy. He'll live. Or else New Rome will fall." Said another person... A female.

"Reyna has been balling her eyes out." The other confirmed. "I see never seen her break down in public before."

They kept ranting on as I tried to find a way out. There was an open door to my right, and I decided to try and sneak by through the shadows.

"Hey!" The male doctor yelled. My heart froze. "You're not supposed to put the tools away until after the autopsy is done! We might need that scouple later! " I quickly made my way through the door and ran as fast and as quiet as possible before heading into a small clearing. A giant wall blocked the view to the outside world...

I was still alive, and inside the enemy Camp.
