Just a little story
The seventh little story
"So you're telling me the gods are real?"
Chiron nodded. "You are the son of a god."
I was shocked. That's why I didn't know my dad? He was a god?
Then another thought crossed my mind. Had my mom known?
This was a lot to take in.
Isabel came and slipped her hand in mine. "C'mon, I want to show you something."
I said good-bye to Chiron and followed Isabel. She led me to the edge of the woods. I remembered something Chiron had said. "Aren't there monsters in the woods?".
She smiled cryptically and replied, "Not where we're going."
Okay.
I allowed her to lead me to a spot by a creek. She pulled me down to sit next to her.
"Hey," She said. "Wanna see something?"
Her eyes were bright with an untold secret.
"Sure."
She smiled and held her hand over the running water. I stayed quiet. Then something happened.
The sound of the water was silenced.
I glanced at the water. It has stopped flowing and was just laying there, like it was sleeping.
Then it started moving again. In the opposite direction.
The water flowed up the rocks, like it was rebelling. I could imagine the fish swimming saying, See ya, suckers!
I stared at Isabel. Her face was creased in concentration.
She opened her eyes and the water rushed back to its course.
"How did you do that?"
She leaned toward me. She smelled like an intoxicating mixture of sea salt and cinnamon. "Daughter of Poseidon."
@Morningstar.
Yes :) I'm very happy!
