Nico's Legacy

Notes:
This is my first story about Nico's childhood and some of his experiences he went through. I hope you enjoy Nico's story as much as I enjoy writing them. Also, the stores may not always be in chronological order. This is also only going to be a short chapter as I am just setting the story up for future chapters. comment about what you like and don't like about it, I listen to all :)
Chapter 1 - Hades
I paced the narrow corridor outside of the hospital room, attempting to avoid any eye contact with the mortals. My legs shook violently as I collapsed onto the nearest plastic bench and I sat there in silence, listening to the pained screams. I was silently forcing the tears back as they threatened to escape the corners of my eyes and role down my pale cheeks. This was nonsense! I was one of the 3 eldest gods, I should be striking fear into the hearts of all humans in the room. My mind started to question itself until I heard the screams fade from the ward and was replaced by soft yet beautiful cry. I knew it was over. The doctors came to call me inside but I was already opening the door which stood between me and new born child. I rushed over to the bed, where my beloved Maria, who's eyes where puffed up from her tears but still, she would always look amazing to me. My eyes drifted towards my new baby son who was smiling at me. Images of him in the future flooded into my mind as I lifted him gently so his tiny face was no more than a few centimetres away.
"He looks like an Alec." I said and I turned towards Maria as I waited for a reply.
"I would like to call him Nico dear. Named after my grandfather who took care for me after my parents passed away." She replied and I smiled at her. I could not refuse her. And anyways, if I chose the names of our children, Bianca would have been called Kira. Not that that was a bad name, but looking at her now, she didn't look anything like a Kira.
"It's perfect." I said as i leant down and kissed her lightly on the head. I looked into my new son's eyes and new instantly that he was going to grow up to be like his old man. Whether that was a good thing, I was soon to find out.
