The Last One

I jolt up and open my eyes, shaking off the weariness.
'Something is near....'
Drawing my weapon, I advance towards the slight sound I heard. After a few moments of silence, I sigh and sheathe it again.
"Me and my over-reactiveness," I mutter to myself. I hear a laugh, and I draw my sword so fast it was a blur. "Who's there?" I call, tensing. It might be an enemy.
Silence. Then the bushes rustle. A figure emerged.
'That face....oh. The latino elf. I remember him.'
I sigh and once again sheathe my sword. "Are you stalking me?" I ask him with an annoyed tone.
"Oh, just chillen'. Wanna coke?" He says, holding out a soda. I laugh.
"Strange as usual, I see. My mother has been showing your activities to me while I sleep," I say, taking the coke and opening it. It sprays me, and he laughs. I frown. "Did you do this?"
He laughs harder, falling on his butt. I glare at him and wipe off my shirt. "Jerk."
The shadows on the ground start curling around his chest, effectively pinning him to the floor.
Thats when I found out that he could spontaneously combust. Literally.
He was on fire.
I skid backwards, avoiding the flame. The last thing that had anything to do with flames was a chimaera. Really. Not. Cool.
