The Darkness Is Coming

I drummed my fingers on the steering wheel of my car. Today I was going to see Annabeth at camp even though we saw each other twice a week and iris message every time we had a nightmare (which is often), but this was summer so now we could be together everyday!

I was going to driving, because Jason, Piper, Leo, and Calypso were all in a different car coming to meet us. Nico would meet us at camp. Hazel was too young and Frank never bothered to learn. Annabeth just didn’t want to.

Paul had given me his car, mainly because it had hoof prints from Blackjack, and he was getting way too many questions about them. After the happening about 20 times, he decided to just get a new one. He gave it to me, so now I have a car.

I finally got to Annabeth's apartment and practically ran up the stairs. They were on the fourth floor, and the elevator was too slow. I reached the door in six minutes, a new record for me. I knocked on the door and Piper answered. She and Annabeth shared an apartment, and since I was over hear a lot we were now great friends.

“Percy.” She hugged me.

“Piper. Hi, but you know why I’m here.”

“Sorry, dude.” She smiled and let go. Annabeth came up behind her. She looked really pretty.

“Hi, Seaweed Brain.” She came closer.

“Hi, Wise girl.” I kissed her until Piper threw a pillow at us and Jason walked up.

“Cut it out! I want to see Jason.” said Pipe. We moved and sat on the couch, still kissing. Later everyone showed up and we started to drive to Camp Half Blood. Leo was showing Calypso the world. I still felt bad that I hadn’t made sure she was off the island, but then again Leo and she looked happy.

When we got to Camp everyone was excited to see us. We had fun that day and did not do much, that was until we got to the camp fire. Annabeth and I sat next to the rest of the seven and some of our other friends. We were all singing songs and having fun, when Rachel got there. As soon as she saw me green smoke came out of her mouth.

The one who forever controls the great sea
Shall find his twin in the cursed hotel
He will have her unless the dove frees her from the banshee
Fire and water will end the darkness’ shell.

Then she collapsed.
