[ So this takes place in Son of Neptune and Percy has no memory at all except for his own name, he doesn't remember Annabeth in here {requested by @son of the sea} hope you guys like it!!]
"So you seriously don't remember anything? Anything at all?" She asked me as we look towards the view of New Rome from high above the hill, inside the Garden of Bacchus. "No, I mean, I remember my name and all that, but I don't remember anything else, no. Come on, I could see that you know me! Why won't you tell me!" There was this weird look in her eyes whenever she looks at me, like she recognises me, but I don't have a clue on who she is. But every time I asked her about it, she'll just ignore me and shrug it off or she would answer the same thing she has for the past days, similar to what she's answering me right now, "I don't want to talk about it." I sighed and my shoulders slumped. She's the only person who seems like she recognises me, well, there's somebody else, the Pluto kid, Nico di Angelo, but that guy gives him the creeps and he seemed like he hates Percy. "It's in my past and I don't want people to judge me by my past." She added. Percy looked at her, this line's new. He put his hands on her shoulder and she flinched. He took back his hand and said, "You know, your past doesn't define you. Your life in the present is what defines you." She nodded a thank you and gestured for me to follow her.
We walked along the Via Praetoria and the evening sun reflected off her shiny, dark, braided hair, making a little halo around it. Times like these are the times when Percy can see how beautiful she really looks, the fierce yet soft look in her dark brown eyes, the way the strands of her loose hair sways in the wind, the graceful way she carries herself as she stroll down the path directing us towards the Praetorium. I looked away and blushed when she caught me staring. From the corners of his eye, he saw her smiling and she was slightly red too. He gathered up his courage and slowly moved his hand to hers. His fingers just barely brushed hers but she pulled away immediately. He tried his best not to look hurt and feel rejected when she stopped to look at him with an apologising look, "I-I'm sorry," She stuttered, her face getting redder. "It just, I'm still hoping for him, you know?" He nodded but Percy didn't know. Sure, Reyna had told him the story of her former colleague, the one who used to be praetor alongside Reyna before he came along, but he has been missing for 8 months already. Even the legionnaires had a look of doubt whenever Reyna kept on telling them to keep on searching whenever they come to both of us to tell that there has been no update on the search party searching for the legendary Jason Grace. I mean, he salutes that she doesn't give up easily, but it's been 8 months, for gods's sake. Couldn't she just let her feelings for him go?
"I think I'm just gonna go away now." Percy said, averting his gaze and slowly moving away, but Reyna held him back by his shoulders and said, "I can't just give up on him. We spent our childhood together. Out of all people I expected you to understand that." After her piece, she let him go and walked away herself, both of them walking the opposite ways, back turned against each other.
Percy looked up to the blindingly bright blue sky and blinked hard, he did not need other people to see that he has been crying. He don't want to give another reason for people to hate and underestimate him. He walked to the only place that could calm him, his father's temple. The temple of Neptune. It isn't as magnificent as Jupiter's temple, but he found more comfort in here, mainly because Octavian doesn't do his teddy bear murder spree in here, but also because it is his father's temple. Just like every days like these, he asked his father for guidance, mostly for his memory to get back and left an offering for him in the altar, but just like usual, it never came true. He walked out of the temple and wanted to say sorry to Reyna on making a move on her, so he searched for her. He scoured the streets for her, yet it seemed like she has disappeared from camp. Then he saw her.
She was in the stables when he found her, her eyes rimmed red from crying and her nose too. She was grooming her pegasi, Scipio, and didn't notice when he came in. He cleared his throat to tell her that he was in here and she turned around immediately. "Percy! Hey.." She said, quickly wiping her face from the tears. "Hey.." Percy answered, raising his arm and waved a little bit. They stared at each other for a bit, like they both of them had a piece that they wanted to say but didn't know how to say it, because that's exactly what's going on in Percy's mind right now. "Look, I just want to say.." They both started at the same time and laughed when they realised that they were both talking in the same time. "No, you say it first.." They said in unison once more. Again, they laughed and then continued with a smile, "I meant it! You go first!" This time, they were both laughing until their sides hurt, standing next to each other with her horse whinnying next to them, and since I am the son of the sea god, the same sea god who created horses out of sea foam, I could hear and understand what Scipio was talking about. My face flushed when I heard what Scipio said, "Just kiss already!" It whinnied. "Why, what did it say?" Reyna asked, petting its nuzzle. "Nothing." I quickly said, dismissing the topic.
She laughed once more and Percy's legs felt like overcooked spaghetti. The way she throws her head back when she laughs, the way her cape and hair fly behind her, the ever-joyful look in her face when she does, her white gleaming teeth shown in her beautiful and charming smile, made Percy want to do exactly what Scipio wanted them to do. "Look, I'm sorry that I made a move on you." I said, wanting to finish what I came here to say. "That was really inappropriate and I won't do it again." I looked to the dirt floor and smirked, "Unless you want me to." I whispered. I could tell that she was blushing, because she looked away and covered her mouth. She turned back and walked towards me so that our faces were inches apart. "And I'm also sorry if I offended you in some sort." She said, and instead of looking to the ground like I did, she looked me straight in my eyes and smirked, "And I totally want you to." This time, it was my turn to feel embarrassed and blush, but I leaned in and kissed her anyways. It was a short kiss, and we pulled away, looking at each other.
Reyna got up and sat on the back of her pegasi and put out a hand for me, I took it and sat behind her. She led us above the air, high enough to see the beautiful evening lights of New Rome from bird's-eye view. "It's beautiful." She sighed, looking to the city below us. I nodded and blurted out, "So are you." She pulled her feet up and slowly turned her body towards mine, her back turned against the pegasi's head. We both leaned in and unlike the kiss we had below, we kissed full with passion, me scooting nearer to her so our bodies were touching and I put my hand in her hair, pulling her nearer towards me. Her arms were around my neck and when we finally pulled away, our foreheads touching, my arms wrapped loosely around her waist and hers on my neck. We were breathing heavily and I whispered, "Reyna.."
"Percy.."
I slowly lifted up my gaze and saw her eyes, her beautiful warm chocolate brown eyes. Then I looked sideways and so did she, and that was the start of us, looking to the sun setting, leaking warm colours to the sky around it, the sun itself sinking down the hills. And it was the best above-air kiss ever.

So, yea! I took one of Percabeth's "best underwater kiss" quote and changed it a little bit. Well, to be honest, it was a little weird writing this especially the kissing scene because it feels awkward to make it seem like Percy was cheating from Annabeth with Reyna, but.. eh. It was enjoyable :)
I'm so very excited when I checked this acc and saw that there were somebody commenting and subscribing and voting! It's only been three days and I couldn't be happier when I saw the stats!
