[Hi so this is Laurel. Kara's going through a rough time right now and I want to support her through it as much as I can. So this will be our last review in a while. I bumped this person up because she needs it for her story and she asked really nicely. Keep those reviews coming, though! I might check this site from time to time and do a few reviews if I can.]

Other physical descriptions: Teseus is a little on the scrawny side. She has no tattoos. She doesn't have many scars, the only scars she has are ones she got from falling, tripping, and other accidents.
[Healthy but given that her description, her weight should be a bit lighter.]

Personality
Positive traits: Teseus is smart, clever, and witty, but tries to stay modest and humble. She can be shy, but once you get to know her she is helpful, and very friendly.

Negative traits: Teseus is 'bipolar' So her mood changes often. She also likes to stay in the background and not get noticed.

Other Personality traits: She is very introverted and shy, but she opens up once you know her.

[Personality is a little thin. Also, using bipolar might be offensive to others depending on how you use it since Bipolar Disorder is an actual mental disorder and those who have it have medication. The traits match up but they just feel like they lack a bit.]

Fears/Phobias: She has no fears but does get nervous.
[Hmm... Some people have innate fears.]

Fatal Flaw: Teseus is too independent. She likes to do things on her own and in her own way.
[That could be fatal.]

Family and Background
Godly Parent: Phobos
[Phobos doesn't have a history of demigods but he does have a history of mortal interaction so he could possibly conceive a demigod child. However, I do think it could be difficult for that to happen given that Phobos naturally incites a person's worst fears.]
Mortal Parent: Emily Arias
Other relationships: She is very close with her mom, but likes to refer to her mom as 'ma'. She doesn't have many school friends because she tends to scare people away, not on purpose. She is usually pegged as the weird emo goth girl.
[It feels like a stereotype. I get the naturally scaring people away because of the whole phobos-parent thing.]

Backstory: Teseus Phobias Arias grew up in an apartment complex in upper Manhattan. There her mother raised her alone with no spouse. She is somehow good at scaring people away from her. [how so?] She discovered she was a demigod when her mother partially explained it to her. Being the demigod child of Phobos which is a minor god, she was never attacked by monsters. [Even though Phobos is a minor god, he's a pretty powerful minor god and his kids would have very distinctive powers. Monsters would actually notice her.] Teseus was named after Theseus and her middle name comes from her dad Phobos. [Hmm... the "naming after pre-existing heroes" cliche. I suppose it's okay. But why Theseus?] Teseus goes by the nickname Tess and is often bullied at her school. [If she naturally scares people off, why does she get bullied? People wouldn't dare bully her.]

Combat-related questions
Camp: Camp Half-blood
Weapon of choice: A normal celestial bronze sword.
Other weapons: Teseus has a shield that is camouflaged as a pin she wears on her hoodie. Her pin is a ring with flames coming off of it. When she takes the pin of it turns into her shield.
Powers and Abilities: Being a daughter of Phobos, she naturally scares people away. She has the ability to 'Phobate' and you get this ability the same way an Aphrodite child gets charmspeak. Teseus' bipolar disorder is actually her ability to Phobate. When you Phobate you quickly change the way you act making people think you're insane [This comes off a bit ableist. Sorry but I feel really uncomfortable with the ability because it plays into the horrible horrible stereotype that people with mental disorders are to be feared and shunned by society.] and you scare people away. When Teseus learns about this she quickly learns to control it.
[Hmmm... I like the idea that her power is similar to charmspeak but not really on the whole making people thing you're in sane part. So maybe instead of that, she'd be able to pick out one of a person's fears and talk about it in such a way that it incites images of that fear. It's a very powerful ability but it's drawback is that she needs to talk to use it. It seems fair enough and not ableist.]

Comments:
I'm a little iffy with the Phobos-parent part but I think you can make it work. Just fix the powers like I suggested because to be honest, you're original idea, while interesting, it's very offensive. I can tell that you didn't mean to be offensive but other people might take it the wrong way. Having a mental disorder is a struggle. Just because you have one, it doesn't mean that you're automatically a psychopath who wants to harm everyone around you. So just be careful with how you write this character.
