My Life as the Daughter of Poseidon: Book One: True Me, True You

I walked into my sixth grade classroom, already missing summer, and did my annoying habit of sweeping the room for cute boys. Then I saw him. Curly blonde hair, hazel eyes, and reading The House of Hades. I almost melted.

I smiled awkwardly at my boyfriend Marco as we discussed the story me, Christy, Megan, and Erica were writing. My friend Alisia's relationship had gone further in a week then mine had in two months, but it doesn't matter that we hadn't even held hands and Valentine's Day was in three weeks, right?!

Me and Christy sat chatting about what publisher would accept the novel we had been writing with Megan and Erica. While also sorta talking about Percy Jackson. We hoped we would get word soon. After all, we were already on the sequel!

I rode the bus home already nervous about next year, middle school. But I was also excited about spending the first week of summer at my house, with Christy, Alisia, and Shera. We were in the middle of talking about Marco, when he busted in through the door. "RUN!" he yelled. "Um. There isn't anything coming." Shera said. "Just go, I'll explain!" Marco yelled. While we filed out the door, he came up to me. "I-it's Nico. I saw him!" "You're making us leave for this?!" I screamed. "Trust me, he was fighting something. He told me to run and grab you guys." he said, looking at me with those sad hazel eyes. And we ran. Ran to Long Island Sound. Marco saw Nico? We headed to demigod home base.
