My Life as the Daughter of Poseidon: Book One: True Me, True You

My Girlfriend Hits the Ground Hard

I heard the sound of Percy's ballpoint pen changing into a sword, and I turned around to see the tip of Riptide poking through the cyclops's stomach, and the roar of the beast as it dissolved, it's sandy-looking ashes falling onto Tsunami, just lying there with blood dripping down her face. "Annabeth!" He yelled.
"Oh my gods, she must have hit her head on that rock, she needs help!"
"Go bring them to Chiron, I'll bring her to Will!"
"Hey!" I interrupted. "I'm her boyfriend, let me go!" Annabeth looked at me. "How old are you, like ten?" she asked me. "I'm twelve!" I protested. "I'll bring somebody else, who here is closest to her aside from you?" I pointed to Shera, short for Sheridan, who had known Tsunami her whole life, and had lived half an hour away from her before Tsunami moved, now it was an hour and a half. "Go with Percy!" Annabeth ordered, sending Shera kinda nervously walk-skipping over to Percy, who had lifted up Tsuanmi, bridal style, and was already beginning to walk away.

I walked up the steps of the Big House last, listening to the rest of the girls talking about how much the wanted Tsunami to be ok. I looked at Alisia, who was staring at me like she had in math class all year when she doubted I was being a good enough boyfriend to her friend. I then looked at Christy, who had been in my homeroom with Tsuanmi and me, along with Megan and Erica, and was also Tsuanmi's favorite writing partner, and Percy Jackson theory consultant. When I made it up the steps, I was awed at how accurate Rick Riordan had been in describing it. Everything was where it should be. Chiron sat in an armchair, reading (or re-reading, I suppose) The Lightning Theif. "I have several new half-bloods" Annabeth told him. "You know the drill, orientation video, tour, take then to the Hermes cabin, hopefully they'll get claimed tonight. OH! And don't forget to take them to the weapons shack, but do that one at a time!" said Chiron, still enveloped in his book. "Weapons shack?!" asked the most confused Alisia ever, having read none of Percy Jackson, right behind Shera, who had only read The Lightning Theif.

No problem. I honestly love the story. Sure the chapters are short, but you got a good plot. :)
