Nightmares

I faded into the dreams the moment I fell asleep. I recognized this place. I was where annabeth took the cut for me that saved my life during the second Titan war.
i looked around and saw someone but this time by on a horse and hopefully not possessed by the Titan lord. Luke.
A wave of feelings washed over me. Dread, anger, and relief.
"Percy." He acknowledged me like he had been waiting for me.
"Luke." I say carefully.
"You remember this spot don't you?" I nodded. "why do you think she did that?" I had no answer.
"Do you ever have doubts about whether she truly loves you?" I wanted to say no but I couldnt. Wasn't that what our fight had been about? I mean underneath the surface.
"come on, percy. Don't try to say no you know you do. But that's alright. I'm sure she has doubts about whether or not she truly loves you. . . Or if she loved someone else. . ."
his tone made it seem like he wasn't talking about himself but I knew he was.
"We have each other. And we love each other." I said but my mind wasn't agreeing with my voice c
he was traitor, why should I believe him? A part of me thought but the other part thought , he was a hero in the end, he was my friend I should listen to him. And part of me wanted to run.
"Percy,percy, percy. . . " he said disapprovaly "you know it deep down that she still loves me.there will always be a little part of her heart that does not belong to you yet alas someone else." He said While I clenched my fist.
"Shut. Up." Was all I was able to say.
"Percy, all I am doing is speaking the truth. Don't you trust me? Listen to me you know its true."
"You traitor. Why should I believe you?" I said.
He sighed," I thought we resolved that issue percy." He said. I wanted to shout at him to not say my name. But I couldnt. I focused on my breathing.
then he said the words I feared forever as if he plucked them from my mind.
"annabeth has never loved you."
I wanted to scream and yell at him but I wouldnt. This was dream. Luke is dead. He's not here.
"That's not true." I said as calmly as I could manage.
"Then let's let her decide." He said and waved his hand and she appeared. In the middle of us. She looked the same as she did when we were in the battle. She looked from me to luke. I closed my eyes about to walk away but I was glued to where I was.
"Stay percy and you'll see I'm right." It wasn't a suggestion it was a command.
What made me freak was that she was hesitating. My worst nightmare come to life. I woke up to see annabeth. But not before seeing annabeth choose Luke.
