Nightmares

It was hard to look her in the eyes all day.
It didn't help that she kept looking at me with concern. I tried not to let me dreams husbt my mind. I failed. Soon she had to leave for to get ready for her cabin inspection and I just nodded and gave her a long hug. She looked kinda hurt but she didn't push it.
after standing in the same spot for a couple of minutes I walked back to my cabin, grabbed the six pack of cokes hidden under my bed, and then walked back out towards the beach.
I don't know how long id been sitting there in the sand just looking at the waves. And thinking. Lots of thinking.
She plopped down next to me in the sand. "Percy. . .?" She asked I knew what she was going to ask.
"Annabeth . Please, no. I don't want to talk about it. It was a stupid dream. It doesn't even matter. I'm fine" I lied.
"Percy it's not stupid and you do care. it's not stupid because you're upset and you do care because if you didn't you would tell me." The way she phrased it made it sound like a question.
i looked her in the eyes it was hard but I did"annabeth, I can't talk about it, please. It will blow over. It-it. . . Just don't make me talk about it, please. Please." I begged her. She reluctantly nodded then the dinner bell went off. I got up and helped annabeth up. Together we wanted hand in hand to dinner.

once dinner was up, annabeth asked if I wanted to go on a walk. I really didn't but I told her yes and we walked down to the edge of the forest and walked along it. It was a silient but nice walk. I hadn't noticed before but we reached half-blood hill. Annabeth stopped and took my hand in hers.
i don't know why but I just said the thing that came to mind," I remeber thinking that you died." I said.
"Excuse me? When was that?" Annabeth asked.
"When you were guarding Thalia's tree and she came alive." I said. She smiled as if she remembered the day.
"can we go to your cabin,now?" She asked like this was all my idea and she needed permission. I nodded.
When we got to my cabin we much too tired. So we just fell asleep. Annabeth layed her head on my chest and I felt myself flush and I hated myself for it.

Of course, I had a nightmare. Again. And once again where I was standing were I was before in my dream. And once again there was Luke. He regarded me as if he'd been watching me all day. "You saw it more today than ever haven't you,cousin?"
"shut up,Luke. I will not let get your ideas in my head. You're dead!" I shouted.
"Ah, but my ideas are already in your head." He said. Sadly it was true.
"Annabeth loves me. Not you. Don't you remeber her words? How did it go? I loved you like a brother, Luke. Nothing else!" It was cold but I didnt care. Luke gritted his teeth.
Before he could say another word I did the sign for warding off evil. I didn't even know if it worked in a dream. Apparently it did because I immediately woke up sitting up and hit my head.
"ow!" I complained. I couldn't see what I bumped my head on. When my eyes came into focus I saw it. It was a steel fishing pole casting a slight glow of blue. Attached to it was a note. My father I thought. I took the note off and immediately the fishing pole disappeared.

some dreams are advantages.
And some are manias.
what the heck I thought. But I knew what he was talking about.
"Percy?" Annabeth asked I hadn't realized that she had woken up.
"Yeah, annabeth?" I asked her.
"What are you doing up." She asked
"Just woke up from a dream thats all." I turned to look at her. In the dim light of the night her eyes sparkled.
she sat up.
I kissed her, a kiss to make up for lost time.
