Dreaded Love (these are back to being written by moi.)
The calmness interrupted by a break
She tries to fake
A smile
Led on by deceit and guile
Her heart is torn
As all alone she is left to mourn
The Camp she continues to lead.
Inside her, her heart left to bleed.
Everyone moves on like it’s okay
While in her mind the scene does replay.
She curls in fear in the night
Muffling her screams of fright.
Comfort attempted by her brother,
But none can cheer her like the other
Now that he was gone
She was expected to lead on.
Even though her heart was broken,
She kept her sorrow unspoken.
Alone she did lament
For him, most did resent.
Every night the tears would stream down her face
As she longed for his embrace.
But this she couldn’t receive
So continued to grieve
Her first love dead
So she came to dread.
Love
She started to dread
