PERCY’S POV
He knew he should probably run after jade, but he needed some answers first, and sort of knowing jade, he knew that she would want them as well. “Father…” he tried to start, but a wave of nausea rolls over him again and he doubles over in pain.
“What’s wrong son? Oh, I do hope you weren’t fancying the girl that would not be very good. “What about Annabeth?” he asks casually looking around as if they were talking about the weather.
“No, not that. Annabeth and I are fine. I just didn’t know I had any siblings. Why didn’t you tell me?” he asks, straightening up, staring his father in the eye, showing his anger. The god merely shrugged.
“I didn’t feel it was necessary for you to know”
“Not necessary for me to know! This has got to be a joke! She’s my sister! Did you hear her story! You probably did do you, probably made some money off one of her as well. You didn’t care that you ruined her life. She’s so guarded and defensive that she can’t even talk to people! Do you have any idea how bad you’ve ruined her!”
“You watch your mouth boy, if it wasn’t for me, she wouldn’t be alive!”
“I wonder what her opinion on this would be!”
“I might be able to help with that” Nico interrupts, appearing out of nowhere, making even the god jump. The kid was creepy, even worse at night, when the shadows built around his eyes, making the same color as the night sky, Percy could tell even his father was a little unnerved around the prince of the dead. “Hello uncle” Nico says, sort of half respectfully. “If you guys had the common decency to even care about her, you would have seen that she is going on a suicide trip”
“What do you mean, Nico” Percy asks, tightening up, getting to run.
“She said she wanted to leave, and I told her that was ridiculous, but the kid wouldn’t listen, I know where she gets that from” he says, eyeing Poseidon. Poseidon tenses up, and meets Nico’s eyes, a warning in them. Nico shrugs and turns back to a confused Percy. “you’ll probably want to stop her before she leaves boundaries, one step outside, no amount of training in the pits will keep her alive” he says casually, as if talking about a stroll in the park.
“How do you know about that? Wait, never mind, I need to find her” Percy says and runs away.
