Annabeth hated waiting, all of the first years waited to find out what house they were in. Next to her she had a boy with dark hair and inviting sea green eyes was annoying everyone,
" what does it mean? I know it's that motto but what does it mean?" He was asking
" Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus translates into Latin as Never tickle a sleeping dragon" Annabeth answered
" why is a school motto never tickle a sleeping dragon?"
" I don't know"
" your smart, I bet you'll be in ravenclaw."
" I hope, either that or Gryffindor"
" what's Gryffindor again?
" the brave"
" that sounds cool"
" what do you think you're going to get?"
" probably Hufflepuff, I'm a loser"
" awe hufflepuff's aren't losers, they're loyal, and pure of heart. They stick up for their friends"
" I'm Percy, Percy Jackson."
" nice to meet you Percy, I'm Annabeth Chase"
The doors to the great hall opens, and we're allowed in. On a stool is an old battered hat. We line up alphabetically, and each try on the hat. It tells us which house we belong in.
"Annabeth Chase"
Annabeth goes up and puts on the hat
" hmm, this is a tough one, loyal, brave, smart and pride, where to put you though? You would be fine in all four houses, should I put you in Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw or Slytherin. How about Ravenclaw!"
Annabeth jumps off the stool and joins the Ravenclaw table.
" Perseus Jackson"
Percy goes and puts on the hat
" tricky one, you're Loyal and Brave. HUFFLEPUFF!"
Percy jumps down and joins the HUFFLEPUFF puffs.
Once the sorting ceremony was over Percy grabs Annabeth on her way out
" congratulations you got Ravenclaw!"
" thanks"
" I told you I would be Hufflepuff."
" being Hufflepuff is a good thing, it means your loyal, caring-"
" and a loser that doesn't belong in any other house"
" I don't think your a loser"
Percy smiles, and kisses Annabeth on the cheek

Notes

To explain why I had the sorting hat think about putting Annabeth in slytherin is because her fatal flaw, if you remember from the sea of monsters, is Hubris.
And to explain why percy is a Hufflepuff instead of a Gryffindor is, athena told him his fatal flaw is loyalty, he would save his friends even if it cost the world, just like a Hufflepuff. And also im a Hufflepuff and I wanted Percy in my house.
