The Immortality Trials (On Hold)

Annabeth,

At first I see nothing but blackness. Then squinting streams of sunlight seem through the small slits opening my eyes. They get larger as I open my eyes more and more until all I see is a large ball of sunlight. I blink a few times to clear my vision. I look around at my settings and see that I'm in a cage with leader boy in the middle of a green garden. There is another eight cages in the grove they all have two occupants also. The cages were arranged in a circle with about five meters between them. The cages have steel bars that are each about a foot apart from each other to keep us in and they're rounded like a bird cage and not very tall.

So that's what knocked me out earlier. I muse looking at the short ceiling. I look over to leader boy and catch him staring at me. He quickly looks away with a sad smile on his face like he's remembering something. Confused and curious I decide to ask him about earlier. "Excuse me." I try to get his attention.

"Yea?" He replies with a sad look.

"You know earlier when I accused you of lying." I say and he looks away. I roll my eyes and continue to talk.

"You said you knew nothing, you're lying, you know more than most of us." I say boldly. Really wanting to know the answer.

"Your right Annabeth..." he starts before clamping his hand over his mouth. I look at him confused.

"Is my name Annabeth?" I ask slowly and surely. Really hoping that it is.

"Yes." He sighs defeted. I squeal with delight.

"Now I know my name and someone called Percy!" I laugh. "What else do you know?" I ask eager to find out more.

"Well I'm this Percy, that you speak of, I'm the demigod son of Poseidon, yea I know everything." He says and my mouth drops. He knows everything! how? "but my memory is like a piece of swiss cheese, Holey.

"How do you know everything?" I ask curiosity getting the better of me.

"My memory has been taken by the gods before, once was enough for my mind to learn to block it." He explains to me and the whole time I understood it all but at the same time I couldn't.

"So you're saying that golden girl really is the daughter of Hades and that the gods really do exist?" I ask fascinated by the subject.

"Yes and I know that Leo can burn these cages to the ground!" He exclaims excitedly. He turns to the person in the next cage the boy who looked like an Elf and could only remember a golden metal dragon. "Leo!" Percy calls.

I guess I can call him Percy now. Why was it that his name was the only thing I remembered? Do we have a special connection? He is cute you've got to give him that. I turn to ask him about us and realise that the bars next door are burnt open. I let out a little shriek and notice that Percy is no longer in the cell with me. I also notice that the sides of our cell are burnt open. I race out and see everyone crowded around Percy demanding answers.

I race over to his side and begin to defend him. God these people are violent. Baby Hulk runs to me and looks like he'll knock me out when Percy jumps in front and out of nowhere appears a sword.

What is wrong with this dude? He's popping up surprises everywhere. Demigods, full memory, fire and now swords!

Then everything pauses.
