The Immortality Trials (On Hold)

Annabeth,

The world is on pause. Percy is in front of me about to cut up baby Hulk and is paused in mid air. Everything around me is stopped. There's a leaf falling halfway from a tree in the center of the grove, the one that the cages are based around. The girl with the ombre hair is frozen watering a plant. Even the water comming out of the watering can is frozen. I touch it and it slowly bounces away like it's in zero gravity. Everything else I touch, the same thing happens.

Then a thought occurs to me. Am I the only one not frozen for a reason? Is there a purpose to this? What do you want me to do? Because obviously we're in some sort of control room or land.

The cut open cages now have doors on the other side. Around me a darkness settles and an eerie feeling sets in my stomach. I turn round to see that no one else is there anymore. I tell myself to stay calm. I search for clues around and notice a little grey owl perched in the middle tree.

When I look at it it moves, it moves into a cage. I follow it again but as soon as I reach the cage it moves out the back of other side of the cage. I follow it again but the same thing happens. That's when I finally realize that this is the thing I have to do. I follow the owl to a large temple.

Parthenon. Pops into my head and I have no idea why I know that but something just feels right. Why would I be at the Parthenon? I'm not greek, I don't think I'm greek anyway. But what would I know? Our captors have kept that a secret from me. But Percy and Golden girl were kids of a god, so what about me? I slowly step up the old stone steps into the breathtaking building. Twelve statues line the walls-twelve gods. I walk up the Isle studying each one but only one I remember, only one I really know. Athena.

Suddenly the doors slam closed and I'm locked in. I spin around gasping for air in a panic. Then the torches that line the walls turn on. Then I remember that this is a control room. People are looking from above. Someone is looking from above. They can probably play with all this, heck am I even in the real Parthenon?

I reach the base of the temple and a structure comes crashing down. Poseidon I think, then followed by Hermes then Athena. I cower away not wanting to be target when out of nowhere Percy comes in and swoops me up into his arms bridal style. And runs down the Isle with me. Avoiding all the falling stones and cracking floors.

"Well this isn't how I imagined going down the isle." I hear him muttering and blush. I don't even know this guy! Do I?

We get out literally seconds before the whole building collapses. Like a scene outta a movie Percy walks out with me in his arms like a pro with a building falling behind him and dust blowing everywhere. Then he trips. Like a scene outta a failed movie.

I try to stand back up but notice my feet are stuck. I look uo and see a scene change again. The desert stretches out for miles with nothing in sight. And I happen to be in the quicksand.
