"I'll Help!"

I watch the other person run away from this creature, towards me and William as I say, "I'll help"! I quickly pull out a flute, and blow on it. William draws out his dagger, and raises it in front of him. As my breath moves through the musical instrument, darts fly out towards the creature, past the stranger. They each strike the 'witch' of a thing, making it fall over. William carefully walks over, not very willing to do such a thing, and strikes his dagger down on the creature. We both stare at the boy, and I quickly swipe out my phone. "Say cheese!"
The flash of the camera strikes the new guy right in the face, and he stumbles confused. William looks at me and shouts, "Why the gods do you have a phone? Since when?!" I sit there as I use my wireless handheld miniature photo copier and the image flies out into my hand. I throw the phone onto the cold stone sidewalk and smash it with my foot.
He looks at us, and announces himself quietly, "I am Max...You two?" I tell him my name, Geoff, and William's. I finish telling William about that one time I was in the center of the camp, and someone threw an egg at my face, then finally hear Max speak again, "WHO are you two?"
"We are demigods, like you! Duh! Anyways, we were just going to go back to camp. You don't seem so easy going alone, wanna come? Camp Half-blood away!" I finished as we walked down farther the streets of New York City. These backstreets were boring to walk along, so we decided to go a bit faster.
Max followed behind us silent as a mouse, not even questioning us or anything like before! I decided to chat a bit with William but this triggered it, "Has Apollo been paying attention to your existence, because Athena hasn't been with me!" With that one remark, Max asked out of the blue "Athena? Apollo?" That is when we both looked at each other thinking 'Oh shit'.
