The Wounds Will Always Bleed

Chapter 4

"Don't Lie."

I ran towards the beach, looking for a way out of this world. I couldn't take this. I don't want a life anymore. I want it to end.
I heard shouts from William saying, "He didn't mean it"! It was apparent he did. I continued to run, tears swelling up my vision. I didn't bother turning around when I responded in a shrill, weak voice, "Go away!" William stopped running after me, paused, and then said loud enough for me to hear slightly, "He hates everyone."
It's the littlest things that can hurt the most. I dug my fingers into the sand as I sobbed to myself. "Why?" "I don't want a life." "Leave me to die." After an emotional outburst to myself, I turned to this patch of trees astray from the rest of the place. It was silent, and I saw the campers approaching it. One was blonde, gray eyes, and apparently left you stunned. The other next to her, obviously a close friend or such, was a boy with black solid hair, and pale skin. They were holding hands. I wanted to run for the forest, but they were going near it. Suddenly, they turned. That was when I made an almost fatal mistake.
The trees were thick, and I heard childish laughs. If this was a horror game, why couldn't I see the EXIT GAME button? I heard slight screams, not of laughter. Suddenly a few moments of pondering after that I heard a huge roar. I tried to turn around and run, but I just kept finding myself passing more and more trees until I hit something warm...
This warm thing wasn't so cozy. It wanted to kill me. It was a mountain lion-like beast, and it was where the roar came from. It repeated its shout, and bared its fangs and claws. I turned around running and screaming for help. No one would reply, no one at all. I believed I was going to die, right in those woods, because I wanted to hide. Now while I run, I really wanted to hide. For my life.
I heard a voice of a young man, possibly a team sent out to find me? Then shortly I realized, "Why would they send one?" The voice got closer as my feet carried me along the brush of the wood. I could see them, and I realized who they were. The 'friends' whom were walking along the edge I saw. One stared and was distraught, being of femininity, while the young 'boy' took out a pen. I was confused, so confused, then suddenly a the pen morphed into a sword. This sword was a long majestic one, and he walked closer, then past me.
His sword went straight into the beast, bringing it down immediately. It tried to get back up, but the female had one too. She had it on her back, how couldn't I see it? She finished the beast, then they both later led me out of the wood, then returned back. I eavesdropped on their leaving conversation, and caught two names I didn't bother remembering... "Percy" and "Annabeth".
Suddenly, I saw those two boys walking towards me. I didn't bother running away into the woods, I already learned my lesson.
