Make Them Burn

Today was the beginning of training. Jason and I were both selected as the leaders. We used dummies as these monsters and everyone praticed with silver blades. Well only some had silver blades, the Hephaestus cabin was still making them, the others used celestial bronze for now. It was weird using a silver blade. I was so used to using riptide. But if it was going to kill the monsters I was fine with that. I was in the middle of a practice fight with Frank when Annabeth ran up behind me.

"Percy we figured it out!" she exclaimed. Annabeth startled me so I turned around still pointing my sword. Luckily she jumped out of the way. I quickly put my sword down.

"Don't scare me like that! I almost chopped your head off!" I laughed.

Annabeth laughed as well. "What do you mean, you figured it out?" I asked. "You know what the monsters are?"

"Yes!" Annabeth said. She held up the book she was holding. The book looked very old and worn out. She opened the book, flipped to the page with a bookmark in it, and starting reading. "Lamia, also know as Vampires (AN: According to google translate, Vampire in latin is lamia) are pale, red eyed monsters with deadly fangs. Vampires are incredibly fast and strong. When they bite you they turn you into a vampire. Once you are turned into a vampire you join their army and have the same goals as the other vampires which is most likely taking over and turning as many people as they can into a vampire."

"Woah," I said. "That's why all the demigods are disappearing."

"Yeah. We don't know the day they will attack so we're gonna need to train hard. We also don't know how many vampires there were before demigods were disappearing so they could already have an army." Annabeth explained.

"Well I guess we'll have to keep training." I say.

"Yep," Annabeth quickly kisses me. "Good luck training seaweed brain."

"Thanks Wise Girl. See you soon." I turn around and go back to my fight.

TIME LAPSE

Nico's POV

I sat on the side of the arena, watching everyone fight. I had trained today but now I was taking a break. Besides, it was hard to train after my dream last night.

In my dream, I was at Camp Half Blood, but it didn't look the same. Demigods and the monsters layed on the ground, some of them injured, some dead. Then everything went dark. Light then filled the area. It was so bright I couldn't see anything except Will, who was standing next to me holding my hand. We both turned to face each other and I watched Will fade into nothingness. Then I heard screams and cries that I recognized as my own. But I wasn't screaming or crying. It was like someone had recorded me and was playing it back. The dream had ended at this moment and I had woken up sweating.

What did the dream mean? Why would I have this dream?

"Hey Nico," a familiar voice said.

I looked up and saw Will. He sat down next to me. "Oh, hi Will," I replied.

"What's wrong?" Will asked. One of Will's many talents is that he could tell when the people he was close to were sad or worried. I wasn't sure if I loved or hated this.

"Nothing." I said, a little too quickly. "Just tired."

"No you're not." Will said. "What's wrong?"

I smiled. "You're cute when you're worried," I say, trying to change the subject. Will goes bright red

"Don't change the subject," Will smiles but his smile quickly disappears. "Tell me what's wrong."

I sigh. There was no winning against Will. "I had a strange dream last night," I begin. Then I explain my whole dream to him. Throughout my explanation, Will had a concerned look on his face. When I finish he holds his hand out to me. I take his hand right away.

"Don't worry, Nico," Will says squeezing my hand gently. "It was just a dream. And I promise I won't leave you."

"Thanks Will," I say.

"No problem," Will replies. He then leans in and presses his lips against mine. Will's kiss seemed to make all my problems disappear, it was like it was just him and I in our own world.

"Hey lovebirds!" Jason said, interrupting our kiss. He was walking up to us with a grin on his face. "Now I would normally never break up a Solangelo moment but we gotta get back to training or these monsters will never be defeated."

Will and I stand up, both of us blushing. "Ok Jason." I say "And please stop referring to us as "Solangelo"." (AN: I have no idea if this is correct grammar so I apologize in advance. I was trying to put quotes around the word Solangelo)

Jason laughs and the three of us walk off to the middle of the arena, my problems disappearing for a little while.

I'm sorry Im the worst procrastinator ever! I hope you enjoy this chapter though. I added a bit of Solangelo fluff for you guys :)
