Tears and Flowers - Comments, page 2

Yeah. It happens just about everyday. Anytime I try to explain something related math, science, mythology, or religion, all of my friends zone out and either a) act like they understand or b) ask me to explain it in English. It's actually kind of funny.

@America7

haha I get the feeling so much

@ThatRandomPJOFangirl
That's what my friends say too. This actually happened today. We were talking about Martin Luther and his 95 Theses. A lot of his statement have Purgatory in them and so I was trying to explain it so I was like, "I'm going to relate this to Greek mythology, b/c that's how my brain works" and my friend was like "Here we go. Make yourselves comfortable. This may take a while." and by the time I had finished my friends looked beyond confused and zoned out

@America7
ha, ill start saying stuff about Greek myths and my friends will be like "Ummmmmm" or today im like "So I need to tell you something but it will make you fall asleep" to my friend and she's like "Um ok" and im like "It's about Doctor Who" and she's like "snnnoooorrrreee"

@ThatRandomPJOFangirl
I'm that way too. My friends zone out when I talk and then ask me to explain it in English. One of my friends today said that she was a translator from Tamyra to English. I was like *facepalm*

especially when its coming from me! I am a bit verbose... that means talkative! I'm like the paragon of talking! That one means example! ;-) I did tell you so!

@ThatRandomPJOFangirl
Wow. I didn't know that. You learn something every day.

It's also just that pit bulls have a bad rep cuz there were these jerks who bred them to fight to the death in pits. Hence the name "pit" bull

@ThatRandomPJOFangirl
I know! I get so mad at them! there's nothing wrong with pitbulls! They just look at it and say 'oh! scary!' and i'm like 'I'm scarier than that pitbull!' they judge the poor dogs by what they look like. Just like they assume that Maltese are adorable when they can be perfectly vicious! (I'm not saying they are, I was just trying to think of a dog that almost everyone thinks is adorable even if they've never met the dog)

another animal rights person! cool. most of the time when people are like, "ahh! a pitbull!" I feel like slapping them. Most of the time that's on TV, but if someone ever says that in front of me, I probably will slap them.

@ThatRandomPJOFangirl
Yeah. my friends are like that too. They ask me about a certain sort of marine animal and I go on like a two hour rant usually ending with me complaining about how Sea world mistreats their whales. And then they always beg to read my writing.

@America7
yeah, the three career options I think will fit me best are marine biologist, writer, or something in law.

example for the law one:
my friend says my name to someone. I turn around.
"What Sarah?"
"Oh, I was just saying you know how you want to be in the Supreme Court? Well I said you would be like this:

(Sarah being SP me) Why is the accused here?
(Sarah the criminal) I was accused of breaking some Doctor Who mugs?
(Sarah being SP me) (I'm hitting criminal Sarah with an imaginary huge gavel) GUILTY!!!!!
(Sarah the criminal) You aren't supposed to hit me with the hammer!"

Guess what? I agreed.

@ThatRandomPJOFangirl
Not really. I'm more likely to get a career in writing or Marine Biology. At most, I'll be a choral director, but I guess you never know. Music's really just a hobby for me.

@America7

ooo, music? a potential star? ;-)

@ThatRandomPJOFangirl
Yeah. I know that feeling. It happens a lot to me. esp. when I'm working on music.

It's hard to speak out, but always worth it.

@ThatRandomPJOFangirl
Yeah. I guess I was always afraid of becoming a target. I used to be a people-pleaser so I tried to make every one happy. Until recently when I experienced that pleasing God is more important than pleasing others and that you can't always please everyone. That's when I really got my courage and demolished my fear of speaking out.
