The Rise Of The Titans Series: Kronos's Revenge (Book 1)

Chapter 15

Jason became horrified as Kronos slammed him to the ground with his sword. He crashed violently into a very hard object, causing him to cry out in agony.

Kronos let out a sinister chuckle and approached him, his sword drawn and raised in a deadly arc. Jason glanced back at the hard object he landed on and realized it was a dusty coffin.

What the hell is that for?

"Jason Grace, son of Jupiter," Kronos sneered as he inched closer, "It has been a pleasure meeting you."

Jason tried to move and clamber out of the coffin, but he couldn't even budge. The Titan lord soon came face to face with him, his solid gold eyes piercing into his.

Jason felt himself freeze as he stared into the intimidating eyes. Then, his vision started to blur and he blanked out.

Jason woke up, but he felt weird. He tried to move his arms, but they did not waver at all. Panicking, Jason struggled even more to move, but the same effect happened-- nothing. Suddenly, his body involuntarily stood up from the bed.

Holy shit! I just moved out of my will! I'M HALLUCINATING... CALL HELP!!!!

The next the was even more creepy-- he smiled and laughed, but it wasn't his voice...it was Kronos's.

After a couple more unintentional actions, Jason knew what clearly had happened-- he was possessed by the Titan Lord himself. He watched like an outsider of his own body, moving involuntarily. His movements were currently all controlled by his worst enemy.

He watched as his friends escaped the chamber and himself, or more like Kronos, order his monster army into a underground room filled with chairs.

"You see, my fellow monsters, that this boy, Jason Grace, has now been taken over by me. Although this boy is quite a weakling for us Titans, his form well do me well enough until I have fully recovered." He murmured softly.

Kronos/Jason grabbed his sword and raised it up into the air swiftly. Immediately, lightning thundered from the sky and struck the floor, leaving a loud clash that echoed the room.

The monsters shifted restlessly, a few weak cheers resonated inside the crowd.

"This weakling demigod's form will not last long, though. His soul will be crushed under the weight of mine within a month. That means I will need to find another to possess, but the benefit is that I will have one of the seven demigods down," Kronos said maliciously.

Jason fell back in terror, but Kronos's body held on him firmly.

He means I will be dead within a month. Oh my friends-- Piper, Percy, Annabeth, Leo, Hazel, and Frank..... I'm so sorry

He tried to think of a plan, but there was nothing. He could not Iris Message his friends. Instead, Kronos would continue controlling him for another month--until he dropped dead to rot for their entertainment.

"Now, I want you to each-" Kronos began, cut short by the sound of loud footsteps. The crowd of monsters turned to look at the entrance, eager and curious to find out who was rushing inside.

Another Titan, holding out a spear and wearing Greek armor emerged from the doorway, and he shoved his way to stand in the front of the Titan lord, bowing at his feet. Jason watched him get up and twirl his spear back into his straps.

"Hyperon," Kronos said coldly. Jason suddenly felt another cold voice inside his head, as if it was another person's thoughts-- Well, isn't it the Titan that failed me years ago! What does he want???

"My lord brother! I mean no harm and I have much information to tell, and believe me, you will want to here it." Hyperon said, rising back to his feet and staring confidently into Kronos's eyes.

Jason could feel his own and Kronos's curiosity rising to his chest.

"Information? Please do tell, my dear brother," Kronos replied, giving him a curt nod.

Hypernon drew a deep breath. " I have received the reports by my spirits of the Underworld. Hades has brought the seven demigods, which I am sure you have heard of, to quest and find Krios himself.....and kill him."

"Krios?" Kronos snarled, "What do they want to do with him? Why won't they come back to fight me?"

Hypernon flashed him a weird glance, "Sir, I am under the impression that they want to clear out your other brothers before coming to fight you directly. This is their plan," He said.

"That is great." Kronos said, he smiled dryly, thinking hard.

Kronos whipped around and pointed at a dracaena, "You! Arrange the army of yours, I want you to lead it to Atlanta. Krios must have still been guarding that place since the gods punished him, He is weak, but those demigods do not stand a chance if I come join him too!"

The dracaena let out a small hiss, "Of coursssssse, Lord Kronossss." Immediately, the monster scrambled out of the room.

"Now, to you, my dear Hyperion, I expect you to see me in the guest room, I must have a little talk with you."
