Audentis Fortuna Iuvat

Convulse

The world was one big blur. The pain, the dizziness, the sickness.

Consciousness faded in and out like a camera that simply refused to adjust.

I finally faded in to the mumbling of unclear voices around me and muffled shrieking of an alarm, almost like I was trying to hear something from underwater.

Pain throbbed in the back of my cranium and pricked at my arms, not so much painful as irritating. I knew that we were moving, my body sliding slightly against the straps that pinched my arms and legs, restraining my movement.

Everything felt sore, injured and my memory was a blank slate. For all I knew I had been thrown down a cliff and left mangled at the bottom.

Worst of all was the taste. There was something strapped across my mouth feeding me oxygen that tasted bitter and sterile; like a hospital. I hated hospitals.

A light waved across my eyes and they refocused on a white ceiling.

"Kerri!" I voice called through the murk, becoming clearer as my vision did. "Kerri can you hear me?"

My numb tongue managed to mumble something intelligent like; "Wheresthewaffles" and a masked face bent over me.

"Okay Kerri I need you to calm down and take some deep breaths, okay?" The feminine and vaguely British voice asked. "You had a seizure but it's going to be alright, we'll get you to the hospital and get you fixed up."

My eyes widened but I didn't say anything, my memory coming back in a rush. And oh how I wished I could just leave it abandoned on the doorstep and pretend that I wasn't home.

The siren continued to whirr and the vehicle continued to speed, driving none-too-carefully as if the driver was purposefully trying to hit every bump on the road.

"We're almost there." The lady assured me from somewhere far out of my vision.

But she said those words too soon as the vehicle hauled itself into a huge pothole and the my body shuddered against the restraints.

And continued to shudder as I collapsed into convulsions. Blacking out as my eyes rolled back in my head.

Notes

I was going to make it happy again for Echo but it didn't really work well. I'll make sure the next one is a little more cheerful and give you some answers to my amazing plan that was the result of literally hours of research!

And who knows... with those good grades you may become a writer with books published somewhere else other than this site! Remember the name Phoebe!!!!

@Phoebe

I know.... but I'm still sad!!!

@ThatRandomPJOFangirl
I'm so sorry but it was time to wrap it up! I had to finish writing on this site by the time my school starts (on this Thursday) so I can work on getting the grades I desire. And mostly it was just time for this to end, I loved writing it but I had to stick to a timeline for some accuracy and that timeline just ran out quicker than I'd like. I love you guys and thank you for loving this story as much as I do!
