The Trident Seekers

Chapter 6

I can't move.
He's there, in front of me, as handsome as ever, with his chocolate brown curls, she yearns to run her hands through the silky tufts.
I can't. I remind myself.
He's grown about 3 inches, he is lean, and muscular.
He looks at me with such disbelief, and pain, it makes me choke back a sob.
"Sandy?" He says. His voice shaky.
His voice is like silk, it washes over me like a tide of cool sea water.
I blink tears from my eyes, they fall on my cheeks.
"Aaron." I reply.
I am still crying, but the sobs don't come.
He stumbles, as he walks over to a chair. He runs his hands through his hair.
"You, you were…uh, you left a note? You, you were gone." He says shakily, almost crying.
Chiron still pawing uneasily at the tile flooring, speaks up.
"I see you two know each other, I will give you some privacy to talk." He says with a smile. He trots out of the room and closes the door behind him.
And we are alone.
Neither of us say anything.
"Why." He says.
"My mom, she, she was scared. We left the neighbourhood and went to Long Island. She thought I'd be safe there. We left that very morning, and she didn't let me say anything to anyone. Even you." I explained.
He looks up at me. His silver eyes full of tears.
"Why come here now? After all this time." He asks.
I take a second to think.
"I was attacked at my house on Long Island. We packed up and left again. I changed schools, and on my first day Marco found me. He charm spoke me into going on a date with him. He brought me here instead. My mom is probably going out of her mind right now." I explained. I put my face into my hands.
None of us spoke for a while. We just let the silence heal us for a while. Until he broke the silence.
"Do you how crazy I went, when you disappeared? I was terrified. I thought I was never going to see again." He said, there was an edge to his voice.
"I know, Aaron. Do you think I didn't go crazy too? I couldn't live with myself. I know I broke your heart. I even thought about" I took a deep, shallow breath."I even thought about killing myself. I couldn't live with the burden of knowing I broke your heart to pieces. It was a piece of thread was tied around my heart, and every time I thought of you, the thread would pull tighter and tighter until I couldn't breath!" I said, full on crying at this point.
He looked at me, surprised I even spoke I'm guessing.
He slowly got up from his chair, and walked toward me.
He stood in front of me, so close his breath stirred my hair. He smelled like mint and detergent and Aaron.
"Do you still love me?" He said, barely a whisper.
"What?" I said irrediculously.
He raised his silver eyes to mine.
"Do you still still love me." He said again. More stern this time.
"Yes." I whispered. "Yes Aaron."
I saw a spark in his eyes. A spark of hope.
He touched my face, wiped my tears, and cupped my face between his hands.
He was crying. The tears falling down his cheeks slowly.
I placed my hands over his, which rested over my cheeks, and closed my eyes.
"Do you still love me? After all I've done to you?" I asked him.
he looks at me deeply.
"As if I could stop." He replied.
His lips came down on mine, hard at first, but the kiss slowly became softer, his lips touching mine gently. He deepened the kiss, and our lips were suddenly moving across each other's with an urgent grace that left me breathless. I could feel him smiling against my lips, it brought fresh tears to my eyes.
He stopped kissing me and laid his forehead against mine.
I felt at home.

Thank you!

@Burning Sun
It's totally fine:) thank you for letting me know I really appreciate it! And glad you like it:)) I'm really not one for lemon either, just thought the moment needed it☺️

Okay, I'm not dissing your story, I LOVED IT, I mean, up until you wrote the lemon. It's a good story, and yeah, the lemon got some key points across about how close they are, but I think you could find a non-lemon way to tell the readers that.
